Hacking Updating OFW

I have a hacked PS3. I bought it second hand, and it has Multiman installed. (and some other tools, idk which) My question is, can i update my OFW to the latest somehow, and still be able to use Multiman?

I just want to be able to use services like Netflix,Youtube again.

If you use those services you will get banned. (You basically need to login to PSN to use them, and Sony can easily detect your CFW and a ban occurs in 7-14 days; practically not worth it)

You can just update your cfw or spoof to a newer version

Search up nopsn (netflix, youtube, etc) and download those. It does NOT require PSN, it still requires a PSN account to be on the user, but you don't have to login.

But wouldn´t i still have to update my OFW for that? As right now, on my OFW (I think its called that, anyway) when i open NF it says i need to update in order to login.

Like i said, im a real runt, so im gonna need step-by-step instructions.

Multiman is not a CFW. It's a tool for mounting PS3 games. It's default skin just looks like the XMB.
What you call OFW is actually a CFW, otherwise you wouldn't be able to start Multiman. Download an up to date CFW with you computer and use it to update your PS3.
Then you can use PSN again. To avoid getting banned follow the instructions in this thread:

You need REX.
Copy the CFW to an USB-Stick:
X:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP
If there is a disc in the PS3s drive, remove it!
Normally install the update from the stick.

Id just use rebug, use psninja to clear game history, fake it, and then make it read only. And then just use psnpatch or whatever is the latest cfw hider. I used my jailbroken ps3 for 3 years and its still not banned. Ive just never used homebrew online lol Havent used it in a while though.

What cfw do you have on now?? As long as it has QA flag then you'll be good to go. You can actually just install it via system update via usb in the xmb if the PS3UPDAT.PUP is at PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP on the usb

I've got Rebug for years, used Youtube/netflix a few times and are usually always connected to PSN when playing games.
Haven't gotten banned yet so please stop scaremongering people.

As long as you use common sense (like not to boot ANY homebrew on your PSN account), the chances of getting banned are low.

It's in the Rebug Toolbox.

The update can be started from the settings. It's the first option.

So wait, i just need to update via the System Update button? What does Toggle QA do then? (its under games in Xmb)

I put the file in x/PS3/UPDATE and renamed the file to PS3UPDAT.PUP
