Rename the bin of the mame2003 mini for mame2003m instead mame2003 ;)
In the \mame2003mini.hmod\bin\

Hello, people.

I'm sad to inform about huge sound issues in SNES games playing with the "renewed" snes9x2005 core.
A little list of affected games:

- Hagane
- Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems
- Super Star Wars (all three games)
- Ghoul Patrol
- Zombies ate my neighbors
- Maximum Carnage

Use snes9x2010 for those games. The save state bug doesn't make it the boogie man. Leave 10-20MB free for a couple save states, and you're good. It's nuts to fill up the NESC with tons of save states anyway.

Uninstall retroarch in the modules and then reinstall it.

Also it helps to plug a second official controller in the second player port. I found its easier to change the bindings by pressing select start in a game rather than going through the retroarch main menu too.

Hope that helps :-)
Just re add retroarch in modules it resets every time you re add the module

Worked thanks. I bought a $10 controller from gamestop that works fine. Suprised to see all the 3rd party ones that dont work on here

Well I do another video testing some NeoGeo "big size ROM" in MAME2003 mini core by D_Skywalk in RC3 Hakchi2 2.14

Please, enjoy!

Hi folks.
I'm trying to use 8bitdo nes30 pro controller with retroarch but i'm unable to bind correctly the buttons. Have you run into same troubles?

I had some issues setting up mine but with the new Clovercon mod it worked well.

Best Advice I can give you is to plug in a second controller and open the binding settings from within a game (Press Select and Start) and bind them in there. Use the second controller to choose the binding setting and press the corresponding button/direction on the 8bitdo controller. You may not even need the new clovercon mod.

Also its a good idea to make sure you have the controller and receiver updated to the latest firmware versions from 8bitdo's site.

So just out of curiosity if I replaced the storage chip with a bigger one on the board (I have the tools and experience to do this) would we be able to reload the software? Or would that not be possible?

I see there is a 8gb chip for about $9, I have a test unit I could try this on but I dont want to attempt it of the software would never allow me to load it up.

Thanks! Now if only we could exceed 300MB. I got a second NESC specifically for arcade games. 15 Neo Geo games or so fill that up easily.
Not possible use all 300MB for NeoGeo roms, in tests I did about 120-150MB limit if the ROM needs to be extracted... or maybe by another cause.

There was a discussion about whether or not BIOS, games, cores were included in the 300MB green bar in hakchi.

What are your thoughts?
I also think just the games and pictures. Because that 300mb status bar is there even if you didn't have retroarch. I have never seen it changed besides when I change games out. When I added mame core which is like 25mb it didn't adjust like it does with a game. So just my opinion. The status bar is built around hakchi not mods.

The mame2003.hmod file I have is nowhere near 25MB.

Why isn't it possible to use all 300MB (or close to it)? Do you need to "reserve" space for the save states?

My NESC is 298MB full of ROMs and it seems to work fine. I haven't really been saving much though.

I was planning on making a 2nd system with just Neo Geo and trying to fit as many as I can on there but your comment
has me wondering..
