Pokemon Ranger SA/GS Mission Injection on Cartridge

Introduction :
Since the 20 may 2014, you can't any longer connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with DS/Wii games like the Pokemon Series.
I'm here to show you how to inject the Pokemon Ranger's Wi-Fi Missions in a real cartridge.

1. Requirements :
- A Pokemon Ranger Shadow of Almia/Guardian Signs cartridge with a saved party
- A 3DS with CFW that can install cias
- The Guardian Signs Mission Injector tool
- TWLSaveTool installed on your 3DS
- HxD installed on your computer
- My Ranger3Missions.bin for the 6 missions of Pokemon Ranger 3
- Make sure the files extensions are shown in your file explorer

Shadow of Almia:
2. Extracting the save :
- Insert your game on the 3DS (I'm using Guardian Signs for this tutorial)
- Launch TWLSaveTool, and then press B to backup the save file
- Insert your 3DS SD Card on your computer or use the microSD Management
- Go in the TWLSaveTool folder, and copy the file "POKE RANGER2.0.sav":

- Paste the save file on the folder of the Guardian Signs Mission Injector tool and rename it to "PRSA.sav" (without quotes):

- Launch "Mission Injector.exe", type "PRSA" (without quotes):

- Close the window and go back to the Mission Injector folder
- You have now a new file called "PRSA-WiFi.sav", but it's a 512KB file and TWLSaveTool will not accept it, we need to divide in two 256KB files

3. Dividing the file
- Launch HxD and open the file
- Go to Extras > File tools > Split
- In the "Base name for partial files (incl. path):" section, click the "..." button and choose where to save the file, name the file "POKE RANGER2.0.sav" (without quotes)
- In the "Size of partial files" section, make sure "User defined" and "KB" are selected and type 256, like in the picture:
288421Capturedcran160.png
- You can now close HxD
- In the folder you selected to split files, you have now two files :

For Shadow of Almia:
- Delete the "POKE RANGER2.0.sav2" file and rename the "POKE RANGER2.0.sav1" to "POKE RANGER2.0.sav"

4. Reinjecting the file
- Backup the "POKE RANGER2.0.sav" file in the TWLSaveTool folder of your SD Card to a safe place
- Take your new "POKE RANGER2.0.sav" file and copy it to the TWLSaveTool folder of your SD Card, overwriting the existing one /!\ DOUBLE-CHECK THAT YOU'VE DONE THE BACKUP /!\
- Eject your SD Card and insert it on your 3DS/quit the microSD Management app
- Launch TWLSaveTool on your 3DS, then press the A button to restore the save file
- Quit TWLSaveTool and then launch your game
- You have now the missions on the game in the Ranger Net > Downloaded Missions

5. Enjoy !

Guardian Signs:
2. Replacing the Ranger3Missions.bin :
- Open the "Ranger3Missions by arc13.zip" archive
- Extract the Ranger3Missions.bin to the folder of the Guardian Signs Mission Injector tool, overwriting the existing one

3. Extracting the save :
- Insert your game on the 3DS (I'm using Guardian Signs for this tutorial)
- Launch TWLSaveTool, and then press B to backup the save file
- Insert your 3DS SD Card on your computer or use the microSD Management
- Go in the TWLSaveTool folder, and copy the file "POKE RANGER3.0.sav":
865766Capturedcran156.png
- Paste the save file on the folder of the Guardian Signs Mission Injector tool and rename it to "PRGS.sav":
325180Capturedcran157.png
- Launch "Mission Injector.exe", type "PRGS" (without quotes) and then press Enter
588425Capturedcran158.png
- Close the window and go back to the Mission Injector folder
- You have now a new file called "PRGS-WiFi.sav"

4. Reinjecting the file
- Backup the "POKE RANGER3.0.sav" file in the TWLSaveTool folder of your SD Card to a safe place
- Take your new "POKE RANGER3.0.sav" file and copy it to the TWLSaveTool folder of your SD Card, overwriting the existing one /!\ DOUBLE-CHECK THAT YOU'VE DONE THE BACKUP /!\

5. Enjoy !

All of the steps here have been tested for both games (EU Version), if you have any problem, post a comment in this thread with details, I will try to help you, I'm not responsible in case of data loss, you have been warned to do a backup.

@arc13, me, to write this guide and modified the original Ranger3Missions.bin to get the 6 missions instead of the 4 in the original
@sinbad.the.saile for his Guardian Signs Mission Injector tool, that allows us to get the missions even without the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
@TuxSH for his TWLSaveTool that allows us to dump NDS Save via an hacked 3DS

For those that followed this guide for Guardian Signs, I've updated the Ranger3Missions.bin file to get all missions, you can re-do the guide if you want.
EDIT: Erm, it's not working, just follow the Shadow of Almia guide for Guardian Signs
EDIT 2: Fixed !

Sorry to revive a year old topic, but I've been testing this out for a minute and I'm not sure if there's a way around the problem I've got but here we go
So back when these missions first started coming out, my brother and I downloaded the Giratina and Arceus events, however we never got the others. So I tried injecting the other missions using this tool and the Giratina and Arceus missions were deleted from the main menu and couldn't be selected... yet I still have the Ranger Browser data for Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Arceus.
Has anyone else had this happen? I guess it's not too big an issue since I already have the data for the Pokemon, but I'm not sure what I would do if I wanted to play the missions again
