Hello,

I'm interested in buying a flashcart to play DS games on my 3ds. I see that a lot of people on this forum recommand R4i GOLD 3DS RTS but there is also the R4isdhc GOLD Pro 2017: http://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=490 which is cheaper and seems to do the same things.

So what do you think ?

Personally, the R4i Gold 3DS RTS

I own both of those cards. The r4isdhc gold pro is garbage and barely works, if it works. Over time it's started freezing. Plus the cheat system basically doesn't work did all. The r4i gold 3ds is far better both in terms of long term performance and all of it's features work properly

DSTT clone, will work fine, offers 4 rts slots vs 1 on Gold 3DS but some games may not work and menu is kinda slow. But you can use YSmenu from RGF thread which should work with all games.
Not a bad choice overall but Gold 3ds is better imo.

R4isdhc GOLD Pro 2017 is garbage. The firmware auto-softlocks when one year passes, and you must change the date of your 3DS to continue using it. Plus, the R4i Gold 3DS RTS supports Wood.

As said above, the R4i Gold blahblahblah is really good. I own one and love it. Works on all my DS family of systems and I rarely have any issues with it.

DSTT for minimal DS playing with barely any impact on the battery life. (cheap)
Supercard DSTWO for the perfect compatibility + GBA emulator (if you don't have a 3DS), moderate impact on battery life. (expensive)

They release new version of firmwares to fix this and you can use any old cards (from 2013 i think) with these new firmwares.
