I wonder if any hacks from the t210 tegra x1 playbook could be borrowed and used on the switch. Or even the Jetson TX1 dev board.

Since the Switch OS seems to be an improved 3ds os, does that give it a good chance of backward capability?

im sure gateway is working on a flashcart right now tbh.
They might be working on finding an exploit which would allow for a flashcart, but I don't think anyone has truly found one yet. All the errors thus far are being handled by the system, although some people have apparently managed to get stuck in an error boot loop.

I think they might be TRYING to get a working flashcart. They must find a exploit first to use.

yea ik. by "working on one" i also included searching for an exploit into that as its obviously part of the process.

if anything they're still trying to sort out the structure of the carts. Can't really do much of anything without some means of dumping the games, else your flash cart is absolutely worthless. Looking for exploits is putting the horse WAY before the cart.

Sort of "you must understand the key to open the door"?

Did the 3ds carts that relied on 'emulating' a real cart (sky3ds was it?) and fooling the system have any thing to do with an exploit? (I know I might have just presented a self contradictory question)

Sky3DS I believe is just hardware emulation. Since they seem to work on the latest firmware with no tweaking. Games, on the other hand...

I really don't know the inside and outside of it. If I remember a old thread correct, it "becomes" a cartridge. It doesn't need a exploit to work. Since it puts everything in to a chip that the 3DS accept as legit. But it took years to get there.

1st they thought it was running android now they think it's a 3ds. make up your fucking mind! [emoji38]
From what I can tell the devs never thought it ran android, that was temp members running around saying it probably did because it used the same (or rather similar) chip used in the NVIDIA shield tv, which ran android.
