Hello all,
I used to be quite into the 3ds homebrew and cfw scene, but after a while I lost interest and got rid of
my homebrew and waiting for a downgrade as the only way at the time was to hard mod. Now that I am back, is a 11.2 downgrade possible without hardmoding. Thanks in advance!

Yes you can downgrade on 11.2 now.
Here is the holy guide to follow through the process: https://3ds.guide/
Just click on the "get started" button to well, get started.

And as a sidenote, make sure to read every instruction very carefully, and when it says to make a nand backup, make one. Otherwise if you brick you cannot recover.

The guide suggest "soundhax" for use in this guide. Once you've successfully downgrade, installed A9LH, and restored your NAND. I would suggest using the homebrew launcher cia

Once you've installed A9LH/CFW, I recommend using yellows8's HB Launcher loader 1.3 from the home menu for Homebrew.
Here's the github for that: https://github.com/yellows8/hblauncher_loader/releases

Great, you guys have been a awesome help. Glad to see the community is as great as ever!:)

I-I'm sorry!
I promise it will never happen again.
Please forgive me, Master.

It's also the sort of thing that is difficult to Google - only a few months ago you needed DSiWarehax or hardmod to install a9lh on 11.2. And shortly before that you could only downgrade 10.7 or less. So the info out there is going to appear to contradict itself and be muddled. It's a fine thing to ask a question about.
