I'll have to find an NES Classic first. Stores don't have them. Online doesn't have them. I'm getting pretty sick of Nintendo at this point.
What should we do with this guy??? LOL

So has anyone done the music hack and if so, what did you do? I installed and then copied a .pcm file into the user_mod folder as the readme file instructs, but no sound... Any help would be appreciated.
And I appreciate it! With the ROMs you have available, we can easily replace every arcade port that was included in the Original 30 with the real arcade versions.Yep, been trying to test them all. And I put (not working) next to a rom if I find one. Gives me an excuse to play them, right? hehe

Edit: Whoops, I forgot that Balloon Fight and Ninja Gaiden were originally arcade games. Any interest in testing those out?

I can confirm later today, I have 2 NES30 and SNES30/SFC30. I have upgraded to latest beta firmware. My NESC is over at my friends right now, which I will be stopping by in a few hours. I will test there and let you know. Really hope this works out well.
EDIT: I have to admit though, I just love the replica feel of the SNES30/SFC30 controllers, they are quite sturdy and feel identical to SNES/SF controllers. the NES30 that came with my receivers don't feel as good imo. Having L and R on a rectangular form feels odd. Overall if this works out with the receiver, you can use many different wireless controllers as long as it is bluetooth pairing.
Thank you very much @Cluster
Great work on this!
Well... OK, come back when you find one. When you do, check page 1 first for FAQ's. Good luck.I'll have to find an NES Classic first. Stores don't have them. Online doesn't have them. I'm getting pretty sick of Nintendo at this point.
Try this one, I think you'll like it.

Playchoice seems to be a replica of NES.PlayChoice version of SMB?
It depends on your tastes. If you like sports games, my favorites are NHL '94, NFL '94, Road Rash, World Series Baseball (32X version). Platformers, you have Earthworm Jim 1+2, and Ristar, which is an underrated platforming classic made by Sonic Team. Sonic series, obviously. Shining Force 1+2 are good action RPGs. If you like run-and-guns/hack-and-slash, then the best are Thunder Force IV (aka Lightening Force), Contra: Hard Corps, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Golden Axe II, Gunstar Heroes, Mega Turrican, Shinobi III, Streets of Rage 2, Strider,
When you want to replace the folder_back icon, rename the new icon folder_back and replace the original one in the folder images folder.
Thank you! I forgot to mention that my most favorite genre is action adventure.
I've done that, really, but the result was still the same. Did you successfully in changing it with this method? Does the icon size have to be the exact size as the original?
I know it is tough, but maybe this will help:

Go to this site, and put in your zip code, and then find a store that has 'on hand or saleable' quantity. I literally got one nes classic like that at a target recently (there can be only one duncan mcloud). No one else was even waiting outside the store or anything. Hope this helps a bit.

Take your music file, and run it through 'audacity' (free program). Choose pcm 8-bit (I think it was), then make sure the output is no more than like 20mb.
Install my music hack from here (plays pac-man fever during the menus): https://github.com/kaz321123/Mame-Support-Files
You need to change the folder order sync. It needs to be split up better. Do you have 3 folders with nes folder syncing last and getting the issues? If so move it to sync first or second.Need HELP...!
I installed 2.13e, installed retroarch.mod as instructed, and I have SEGA games working and SNES games working from the frontend, but all my NES games go to a black screen and back to the menu.
So I'm able to play everything except NES games... Any input? (And I've been running this since it came out so I do know how to operate the system and hack and mods, just having some weird issues...)

Audacity only allows for 16 bit .wav files. And the one I made is 16mb. When I copy it into the user_mod music hack file and re-install the mod with the new music file, there is no sound.

What I have is 3 folders on the main menu: NES, SEGA, SNES, in that order... In the NES folder there are 27 folders with the alphabet folders and 2 that I created to find games easier.
Assuming your paths are correct and you didn't add retroarch to command everything Try syncing sega nes then snes. If that don't work try a few others. Easiest way is to just change the folders name and add number 1 2 or 3 in front of the name. Then exit and save structure then try syncing it.What I have is 3 folders on the main menu: NES, SEGA, SNES, in that order...
