I hope all the switch fanbois who endlessly need to shit on the WiiU for some reason & can't shut the fuck up about it when people are discussing technical issues with their Wii-U and feel nothing but schadenfreude end up paying $300 for five year old hardware get fucked in the face with 3 year game droughts with no third party support.

I am vowing right now not to buy a switch hoping to keep that install base low enough to make sure you never see a major third party developer release just to fuck everyone of you with a brick that has no games.

PS4 bundles are on sale for $250 right now, guaranteed FF7 remake & every major third party release.

Things that have nothing to do with technical discussions of BOTW/Wii-U.

  1. Switch
  2. Your bullshit opinion or your emotional attachment to game sales.

So to all you fucking "Buy a switch" idiots who chime in everytime someone discusses the Wii-U version, May your future be bleak without Metroid, the only Zelda remaster you get is Skyward sword and spirit tracks. May the only new releases you get is a Yarn version of Fire emblem.

Fuck you, fuck you all. May the switch have a higher failure rate than a RROD360, uncrackable DRM and sales that make the VRBoy look like a success.

I pray to the rarest of Pepes that this shall come to pass.

HONESTLY, it's just one game that I want to play...and I recently found out that my phone is actually better than the switch, so good luck buying outdated tech, I'm not going to repeat the WiiU mistake again!

You are to smart for me...!

And yes if you buy the game it runs alot better, and yes the WiiU version netherless is a great version!

Great gaming for you, and try to be less rude!

The game is locked at 720p30. Compare this to Mario Kart that is always offered at 60fps. You will see stuttering and frame drops. This is a Zelda game, after all. Compare it to Link Between Worlds Treacherous Tower. It's just too much for the machine to handle.

Scenes like kakariko lag like hell!
Though settingmy wiiu to 1080i did help alot.

also lag is inconsistent.
If you stumble upon a laggy section save your game and reload your save theres a goos changes the nlag is gone.

You know what's rude? idiot fanbois repeatedly chiming in with "buy a switch" off-topic when people discuss if there might be an update to BOTW, compressed textures, or a technical issue causing diminished performance. No one wants to hear your autie emotional attachment to game sales of a company you have no vested interest in.

Buy a PS4 instead of a $300 tablet that is 5 year old hardware that's not going to get any third party support.

Here's your switch, enjoy.

There is no reason why lowering the resolution to 720p should make a difference, as the resolution for the Wii U version is already locked to 720p. Perhaps 480p would make a difference, though? I would think not, as I still experience intense lag in Kakariko Village when playing on the gamepad, which has a roughly 480p display iirc.
23fps isn't "intense lag" lol.
Kakariko Village doesn't lag that badly like seriously, guys, c'mon.
And Jesus christ, this post turned into a shitpost battle

I agree, 23 fps or less isn't intense lag if you're a console baby that has never experienced a stable 60+ fps with maximum graphics settings.

Dude chill down take an aspirin, I understand people that go "lol zelda wiiu buy a switch instead like I did" might be annoying but that's no reason to completely snap cuz you sound like switch stole your girlfriend and killed your mom.

twilight princess hd, and windwaker hd do not have stuttering.
In fact this is the first ninty game that has it like this on Wiiu.

smh i don't know if that was directed to me but anyways.
I play on PC, 60FPS+ on most games in Max settings.
30FPS means nothing to me. Seriously, it's nothing. I want to have fun in games, not useless shaders that will enhance the way the game looks and in reality, it will suck.

BotW is a very fun game, lags can't destroy how much i love that game.

I prefer buying a tablet that uses 5-year old hardware (strange, since the only tablets actually on par with it are the Shield and the Pixel C) rather than buying a PS4 that pretends to be a PC, but releases with 5-year old hardware on par with $200 laptops and $100 home PCs (and that was in 2014). And the said PS4 is only 2 times as powerful as the Switch.

Twilight Princess HD had frame drops in some sections, i never paid attention to them.

I am unsure where you got the 23FPS figure from, but even still, that's roughly a 25% slowdown from the game's normal 30FPS.
Kakariko Village wouldn't be so bad if it just locked the framerate to 20FPS upon entering. The fact that it sporadically fluctuates makes it quite irritating.

I'd like for someone to upload a -short and simple- comparison of this "1080i fix" on youtube without spoiling anything if possible.

NOT like botw....sadly, very servere lag in botw...
Still it's a very very pretty games at times, with ALOT going on. without lags wich makes no sence at all.
I think it will be resolved via an update of some sorts, it;s very unlike nintendo having these perfomance dips on their AAA franchises. but GOD is this game FUN to play!

It could be the NTSC version is smoother...
Also the game is contantly ,loading data from disc...
That could be a culprit..
