Hardware Should I wait to purchase the Switch?

I will start buying games for it though. I know that sounds odd, but physical copies of Nintendo 1st party games are usually money well spent.
It's not odd at all. Some collectors/gamers tend to buy the games first and then the consoles or handhelds.

Why not wait until you get the system because by then the games would of dropped in price compared to buying them on release? Makes zero sense.

Why not wait until you get the system because by then the games would HAVE dropped in price compared to buying them on release? Makes zero sense.
It would only make sense for niche games with a realtive limited release.
I don't think it would apply for any popular Nintendo game.

Can you point me to a retailer that has Senran Kagura Burst/Deep Crimson for (PAL) 3DS at a reasonable price?

Correct. Even the popular Nintendo games do drop but usually not by much so if there's a deal for it it's better to get it at that price than wait and then pay a bit more or just generally more as the price wouldn't decrease again.

Well what a shit example to put your point across.
That was the point from the beginning.
And actually, if you want to buy something with a limited release that makes sense.
It could apply to Xenoblade 2.

I'd like to preorder, but should I wait in case a bundle deal comes out? Is it better to get a first edition console? Also, is there anywhere you can preorder at the moment? I haven't purchased a console since the original xbox

For us, yes. Give more library to pour early next year. Anyway.. We will wait this fall to go to Portugal to visit our families and friends there. We will also purchase it from there and bring it over to America. We prefer to support our country's store and best of all, 299 EURO with no tax (IVA). :)

The RRP. If you actually find Senran Kagura Burst/Deep Crimson for the RRP prices that would be awesome.

Id say look at the games then decide.

Only real advantage to buying sooner is the chance of hacks on lower firmware and/or playing gamers sooner at the cost for potentially waiting for the next one.

Of course, this ignores the portable aspect, if thats important to you.

Problem is that its the chicken and the egg scenario.

Personally, having been there before with the 3DS Id rather wait (remember, that struggled at first).

Im going to get a switch now that i know online play is rather cheap, but i'll get it once a few hacks are realeased owo.

Preordering anything is stupid. Look how the WiiU turned out, better to wait and see if the switch pulls some good numbers from all the people who just can't wait a bit to buy the latest stuff.
Plus if you wait you'll possibly get a pricedrop (look at the 3DS initially), bundles and also the used market from people who bought it and then had an emergency.
Never preorder anything.
