Does your save work with Freeshop version of game?

yeah, it works with any as far as I know. its a save its universal

To my knowledge only the levels are stored in extdata, with the progress data itself being stored as normal save data. However, my attempts at restoring other people's progress data (even after wiping my own extdata) have all resulted in "this save data is from another console" errors, prompting me to format the save data.

If other people have gotten around this, please let me know.

I think he was just saying thanks to being given the save data. He never confirmed that it worked.

Maybe it was because I restored a USA save to my EUR game? Surely that would result in a 'corrupt data' error, if anything (through it should work regardless), not a 'different console' error.

Yeah, looks like it doesn't work for anyone else either (either for me). This is probably because of the extra save data/whatever it's called. It was nice of him to give it to me though!

why dont you just dump everything including the extrasavedata and then inject it?

Wasn't the creator of the save file :| you'll have to ask the dude who did it.

ill try, i thought extra data was just my custom levels
