Went to the home menu at it said there was a new update. After updating I went into the system setting and the firmware was the same. Is there an actual update?
Which version do you have?
There's nothing new on Nintendo's website.
likely this is because youre missing a system app or likely somehow youre on a "frankenfirmware" the system often caches installed system apps and features and requests an update if theyre outdated3ds System settings says Sys 11.2.0-35U which I believe is the same. Also the "update" was almost instantaneous.

Dunno. I've had luma + a9lh for a while now(got it last november). Looks like nothing changed so I guess i'm fine. It could be becuase I recently deleted the old nnid and put my other one on it.
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
Looking through files for any sudden change I found a title.tik in the temp folder in the nand. Do you know what 0004800F484E4841 is?

hm. strange. maybe its server side then.I got this too, and it happened while on a system that had never had any CFW at all. I hate it, sudden 9.6 update spotpass nag and then YouTube app is here spotpass nag
https://yls8.mtheall.com/ninupdates/reports.php here also does a pretty good jobWell the golden rule is if you get a weird update nag, check the official Nintendo website for firmware updates before making a post here. 99% of the time it's because of frankenfirms/missing or edited/system titles.
Well, the update service works by using hashes, so perhaps there could've been something like a few bytes corrupted.hm. strange. maybe its server side then.
"stability and improvements to usability" aka "blocked your homebrew fuckers" xDEither way, there is a place to confirm before potentially starting a panic.
