It is a known glitch, press select, wait a few seconds then press any button to reboot the system.
I just tried this and the screen is still black

So I have a quick question, I've recently converted all of my .gba and .gbc pokemon hacks to .cia for my n3ds, everythning works good except for one .gbc game.

So I have 3 .gbc pokemon hacks, Pokemon Bronze, Pokemon Brown, and Pokemon Dark Energy Beta 4.1,
Brown and Bronze converted just fine, but Dark Energy crashes system and makes me power off.

The steps I've done are as follows,
Converted .gbc to .3ds via VC Gen with a different Title ID, ( 0x7750 ) nothing I know of uses this Title ID
Converted .3ds to .cia via ".3ds to .cia converter.bat"

Now I know those steps are not THAT informative but I did the exact same steps with Bronze and Brown ( with different Title ID's) and they both work just fine.

I've also tried to delete the rom, re-download and re patch for a fresh copy, still doesn't work. I've loaded the rom with BGB emulator and that works just fine, although when I load the rom in BGB I get a message saying, "Loading rom succeeds with warnings: ROM checksum fails. A real Gameboy wouldn't care." Then I can proceed to play on BGB.

Now Im not sure if that really matters or not, or if that has anything to do why it doesn't load on the n3ds.

If anyone has any ideas, any help is appreciated!!

Oh, im followed the main guide i suppose. Well after turning off the system and booting again, what happend?
It booted up normally but i feel like i should explain more. so I went back to 2.1.0 and im going the arm11.bin website and sometimes the bottom screen glitches and that's it nothing else happens and other times the bottom screen glitches and both screens go black and nothing else happens

Hey guys, been using Sky3ds+ with private header and ninjhax for a while now but yesterday i followed this guide https://3ds.guide/ since i just learned that 11.2.0-35U was compatible since new exploit was found recently.

So now that i have a CFW and a Sky3DS+, i have a few questions.

I know i was pretty safe with using online or eshop with my SKY3DS+ and private header, but now with .cia games i understand that no headers are needed as it use your console unique ID so you technically have the equivalent of a private header and shouldn't get banned using online. Now i'm not sure about the eshop, i have read that having come .cia games can get you banned or your .cia gets deleted/removed when visiting the eshop . . . is that why there is an eshop app in the homebrew starter kit?

Regarding the homebrew starter kit, it seems that a lot of included things in the homebrew channel are useless. Is there a place i can find a description of what each of those apps do in details so i can delete the ones i really won't ever need?

And regarding .cia games, what difference is there between 3ds rom converted to .cia or eshop exclusive .cia? I know there is legit and unsigned .cia but there is also cryptofixed and i'm not quite sure how i should deal with all of those regarding online and eshop use as to the risk etc . . .

Also since pokémon Sun/Moon roms still havent had their AP cracked by Sky team, does having a CFW helps me in any ways regarding roms i can run on the SKY3DS+ through regionfreelauncher, Hans or something else? I still plan to run all my current roms on my cart and maybe get a few eshop exclusive as .cia, but for cases like the newest pokémon games, would converting my 3ds rom into .cia be the best option?

If there is any really useful things i should install now that i have CFW, don't hesitate to recommend them and where to find them :P

Oh and is there a way to edit my picrite count in pokémon picross lol, i know i have the app to change the play coins already installed so i wonder if a similar app exist for this free game as moving the clock back and forth around midnight is a tedious way to get picrite lol

Can't think of anything else right now but thx in advance for the help and info as well as the time you take replying :P

The bottom screen glitched when i was on the website part too. I checked the troubleshooting and it says it shouldn't matter if bottom screen is glitched as commands will still work normally.
So i just pressed select and waited for about 20 sec or so and the 3DS turned off and i continued on to the next step.

Yes, if you want to play anything released in 2015 or later you will need to update. If you followed the guide though you should have updated already.

Oh ok, can you point me to the part where you update, all I did was update from a previous nand backup. Cheers mate

Can you guys let me know if i'm missing anything in the SD Card

I dont think so, but I would advice you to momentarly take away all the things that you dont need in the SD card, just put the things that you need for this guide. Then, start from the beggining of the guide.

if I upgrade my microsd card for the homebrew device, what the procedures would I have to go through? Is it just simply transfering the emuNAND and copying the files over to the new microsd card? If so, what's the best program right now to transfer emuNAND?

Drag and drop files from old to new. Simple as that ;)

But I heard that you would have to also transfer the emuNAND? or is that something old
A9HL is installed in SysNAND therefore you can transfer files to the new SD card with no problem ^^ unless you have some special setting in your emuNAND? This is if you have followed the new guide to get Luma CFW in 11.2

Nah, I used the popular 3ds guide. So this means I can just drag and drop correct?

If you truly have an emuNAND you will need to use emuNAND9 to:
1. Backup the emuNAND from the original card
2. Format the new card to have an emuNAND
3. Restore the emuNAND backup to the new card
4. Copy over all the files

However if you followed 3ds.guide as written you do not have an emuNAND, and can just copy over the files.

Once I have finished installing the arm9loaderhax can I delete any files in the files9 folder? Specifically the ctrtransfer_o3ds.bin

So I found out I can delete the files but I have run into another problem where all of my downloaded games aren't showing up.
