Do they even exist on 3ds systems?!?! All I can find is that they are not supported by any homebrew, but really? I can only find Japanese 3dses on Taiwanese and Chinese sites? Like seriously...

So, after doing some research, the iQue 3ds systems were discontinued in 2013, and Nintendo's subsidiary in Taiwan, Phuten, shut down at the end of May, 2014. This is one of the 5 Taiwan 3dses ever produced (on eBay so most likely a fake seller) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-3D...305774?hash=item4d51598fae:g:tY0AAOSwI-BWKJYG

Sorry for double post, but I would seriously buy this if it were real (which idk but eBay does offer money back guarantee) and if I had the money.

This is why there is hardly any support for it, being the rarity to even obtain one for the ridiculous prices

I can finally understand in peace. If I purchased that one listed above I hardmod it ASAP just do dump NAND...

EDIT: It would be lovely to have the option to region switch to Taiwan

Well it's been a hard time for players owning a TWN 3ds, if they even want a eshop game they aren't gonna just pay Nintendo and download it but pay the subsidiary and the subsidiary pays Nintendo and Nintendo gives the game, though this process may not be long but it's ridiculous that was when puten was still up, now the whole TWN console is under Nintendo hk

Also the price isn't the main cause of the rarity, I've seen posts say jpn consoles are quite cheap in the US? Well its the same for Taiwanese players to buy a Nintendo LL(JPN) or Nintendo XL (TWN), all around 6000twd or about 200 USD, it's expensive in either way, the main cause is the lack of games that makes TWN consoles not worth buying, not to mention even if the game was translated into Chinese, how s***ty are some of the games they shouldn't even deserve a translation.
Pokemon sm had traditional Chinese in it but after a month did I see some commercials on TV and the commercials was really lame, gives people a view that Nintendo hk seems to just give up on TWN consoles

Wow, that sounds rough.

Do you even have access to buy any more 3DS with the TWN region? I believe it could be worth it to buy the Taiwanese version so we could research exploits to possibly get A9LH on it. Though that is probably a long ways away

Buying one isn't a hard thing, I even have friends owning one, and about a9lh it's not worth it as well, while a stock 3dsxl is 6000 is you order on websites that sells 3ds, most of them are with a9lh and sell a minimum of 7500+(50 USD min), some may add some low quality accessories and cost you 80+ USD more, add a few NDS games you can have a PS Vita , the most tedious part is they mostly don't mention if it's a hardmod or how did they do it, if they have a bad soldering skill you may end up finding that after a few months, I also think they only have a9lh installed but not cfw with it, most of all, no nand backup no top provided when you purchase it, got bricked? Another 60 USD gone
Are there exploits I'd say pretty much since the console is likely abandoned from Nintendo, but there's no point because hardmod is the main method, and if a9lh is meant for piracy then all games they can install are still Japanese or English games, or on China websites there are some Chinese translated cia they can play, if a9lh is meant for game enhancement most people don't even know those enhancement exist, I tried to search for hacking communities in Taiwan but only board I find a new post comes out after a week, and most posts are just copy paste China hacking forums’ posts, recently they discovered safehax exists and the guide their using is still 3ds.guide, I'd say hacking isn't a majority in twn if you want to help those twn stock 3ds users, but I agree it would be nice to have a twn nand, although even it did exist, as I don't read Japanese I'll still not use it, Japanese contains enough Chinese characters and A for yes B for no applies to every game, I struggled a jpn 3ds for 3 years and another for half a year, nothing bad happened though I don't read Japanese, the only language barrier is when searching Japanese titles on eshop, but that wouldn't help when using a twn nand and twn eshop either

It sucks to hear that the only way to have a 3ds that uses the Chinese language is with one from China or Taiwan, but hopefully our translating the 3ds guide to Chinese will help give opportunities to people in China who cannot read English.

tbh, the translation of the guide was already completed in China, there are still people that follows Western hacking, and I'd say the guide is quite nice and noobs that bricked are still caused by user errors(most of them deleted weird things in FBI), so translation isn't really needed for Chinese, but it'll still be nice if the guide gets an official translation. I do hope when it's finished I can find it on the first page of Google, now it's filled with simplified Chinese websites containing ads.

you wouldn't get a asnwer in random thread.

its best you ask in a thread like this https://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-noob-paradise-ask-questions-here.359035/

2nd which firmware is your 3ds?

3rd check this out, if you really want to hack your 3ds. https://3ds.hacks.guide
