So.... First of all..., The number 1 rule of gbatemp is so not bump your own threads. Second of all, i need more context and specifics. You cant just say"what're the best emulators for both of these consoles? There are so many, and none of the ones you should use overlap for o3ds and n3ds. It's also good to mention your firmware and whether you have cfw or not, as these effect the speed. Some are playable on some firmwares, and barely boot on others. Also what are you looking to emulate? More context is always needed for these types of threads.

Get CFW and then you can install emulators :3 or use VC Injected games lol
We can't just install it because I have a new 3ds with no screwdriver and adapter for the microSD and he dosen't have wifi at his place. Also school gets in the way so we can only see each other on weekends.

Well, you can use the MicroSD management app, and pass the files wirelessly. But do notice that you would need to put every file from the guide before downgrading to 2.1 and upgrading again to 11.2 via a backup

Yeah, since its faster and safer, but you can just get a cheap screwdriver and use that. And for the PC thing, you can use the phone if you need a Micro SD reader, its not simple to do, but its a way at least

I understand this isn't exactly answering your question, as it's a very tough one to give a direct answer to since there are so many emulators that work better than others in some areas and vice versa, but it's very important you don't follow video guides about installing CFW, they quickly become outdated and can cause issues. https://3ds.guide/ is pretty much the bible for this thing.

not to sound rude but the whole "videos are outdated" shtick is easily one of the stupidest things i've ever heard 1. some people are visual learners and videos are quick and can EASILY be updated 2.the 3ds.guide's tutorial is too long and confusing and boring (especially towards the end) 3. why does it matter? as long as you can get a9lh and can update luma whats the big deal?

No worries, not rude, it's a fair point. There's just been several bricks from following incorrect or outdated videos that have popped up here. As a visual learner myself, I totally get it. It's just that the guide is very, VERY detailed and is updated much easier than old videos and very frequently, so it's very recommended here, even if it is a bit long winded as you said.

i want to know the best for both new and old 3ds with consoles like genesis nes snes gb/c/a and stuff

A good one would be RetroArch which can play GBA, GB, Genesis, and SNES games. Not sure about any others though but I'm pretty confident there's others.
