At this point with bootloader being expoited and the ability to sign our own stuff, it's basically end game. Nintendo can only really try to prevent newer users from hoping on, but we are at the point where we can have a completely custom firmware like the PSP has, instead of our "CFW" which can be thought to be more like a program that runs in the background that merely patches parts of the firmware, instead of an actual fully custom firmware. And with only a hardware revision being the fix, along with the fact that Switch is coming in just a few months, we'll probably just see a few more "stability" updates to remove our new kernel exploits. But I feel with the bootloader compromised they will probably start to abandon it like they did the wii. Too much work for something that won't even make much difference.
