Just modded my second 2ds and realised I hadn't backed up my otp.bin on my first console... is that important and Do I need it if I ever wanted to uninstall A9LH? Thanks for all the help so happy with the mod!

No, I didn't. Instructions did not point that out and I'm a noob on this so... no.

Delete the FBI that used to be health and safety and then update the system. but the health and safety app is useless.

EDIT: for more in depth instructions, open the FBI title that you installed from "health and safety", go to titles, find FBI in red, delete title and ticket, press start to exit, go to system settings, and update your system. It will be back when it finishes the "update".

I know it's useless, I just want to launch it only from homebrew launcher.
So, the system update will take some time to download for sure; any other way? Maybe download only this app injection from somewhere?

Check my edit, it is the easiest way to do it.

Not really, it's only useful to when installing a9lh. It's recommended to backup it because you can only get it when installing a9lh and on 2.1.

Ahhhhhhh okay thanks! And I've been reading about fbi being injected into h&s... does it get replaced when you do a system update? Would you advise installing the cia of it before updating in the future ?

Not really, it's only useful to when installing a9lh. It's recommended to backup it because you can only get it when installing a9lh and on 2.1.

You do need it to update arm9 payloads though. But that has only happened once.

Finally! Thank you Hyoretsu, now all 3 of my o3DS are running a9lh + Luma3DS CFW. A very helpful guide and quick replies to all of our n00b questions.

My SD card has only 2GB and I have some games in it. If I back it up, format it, follow the guide till the end, copy the backup of my SD card with my downloaded games back to it, they will work as before, right? Since I'll still have my sysNAND I backup with Decrypt9?

I was following your instructions but, It didn't worked (I was using R18 Version of Safehax, It says that you needn't to use catridge anymore), and the same happened when I tried on Steelhax, what can i do?

Maybe @Hyoretsu didn't update the safehax on the initial zips, only in the troubleshooting section.

Btw @Hyoretsu, the part "If you came here from step 8" of the troubleshooting for the cartridge is unecessary, there's no need for trying with steelhax, since soundhax was never the problem. You could just point out inside the parenthesis of the 8th step that a cartridge should be inserted in the case of freezing with a black screen, instead of "go to the Troubleshooting Steps").
