I do not understand why they used Tecmo Bowl and not Tecmo Super Bowl, everyone knows it's the superior version in every way.
Licensing. EA has had exclusivity on the NFL team and player licenses for many years now.
I scaned my PC for viruses but have not found anything. Can you say which file in archive is detected as malvare? Archive including many tools like upx, lzop, mkbootimg, etc. Actually my tool just executing other tools in right order.

Awesome. I didn't report you by the way, I know how frustrating it can be to upload an exe and people complain about viruses. That's why it's crucial to include sources in case there's issues with that.

hmm i got that error at first when I pressed the "upload selected games to NES mini"

it did work when I used the Kernel menu. Dump kernel, then Flash Custom Kernel, then upload the games

.
Thanks fot your answer but the led won't shut off even with that :/

Quick question. What tutorial is everyone using to hack the NES Mini so that you can use this tool? Also, is there a certain type of ROM that you have to download or will any ROM site work?

Can this tool backup the original image thats on the classic so it can be returned to stock or is it once and done? I'm getting my classic on Tuesday and want to dive in right out of the box with this.

Sometimes I got this error too. Still investigating. Try another USB port/cable.
yeah it worked after a buncha tries

so, followup question. i threw about 40 games on mine, and its great. but theres a couple games that dont behave (like battletoads or the damn pal version of CV3 i put on like an idiot lol)

how do i go about removing just those games, and adding some new ones? is the tool smart enough to see whats on the nes mini already and just delete/add accordingly if i select all the same games in the tool again, with just the broken ones unchecked?

Got this error when trying to add games and it wont let me dump the kernel. any one have a copy?

I can't add japan roms. Gives me error msg mapper #25 is not supported. I'm trying to add Gradius 2 (japan)
Yep, this emulator can't emulate VRC mappers. Actually it's possible to write to NES Mini but it will not work.

Madmonkey (author of original hack) found bug in my app. Maybe it will work more stable when I fix it (soon).

Is there a way to split the "Original 30 games" so I can keep the games I want and discard the rest?
Not yet. Maybe I will do it later. The problem that I need to know correct game IDs to hide them. App can't read and show list of preinstalled games. But I can read them via UART cable. But there are no 100% guaranty that every version of NES Mini using same IDs for preinstalled games.

Thanks fot your answer but the led won't shut off even with that :/
I hope that will be fixed too after update. Testing required.

This tool works with Famicom Mini too or does it have specific problems to handle? I would like to add some games to mine, including FDS games (and some NES with SRAM).
Theoretically it should work but I can't guarantee it. Seems like it can emulate FDS games but I have not tested it yet.

@Cluster
Thank you! Awesome tool.

Sorry if this question is a bit OT but does someone know if there are any difference between the pal/ntsc releases of the Mini? I hope they have ditched the 50hz conversion in PAL.

Cheers.

To my knowledge, 50hz is no longer a thing in PAL regions due to Digital video signals becoming mainstream. Technically the PAL/US NES classic edition should be the exact same, unless they replaced some games more common in the PAL region back in the 1980s

I'm having the same issue after uploading games the thing never shuts off all settings are default minu the screen saver i turned that off also have a save state in super mario bros

Do you think that the Loopy's Super Mario Bros. 2 J MMC3 hack will work?

I'm not at home right now, but I hope to test as soon as I can
