It's still true though, even if the ratio was 50%/50% if people can't follow simple directions they deserve the consequences. That's not cynical, it's just realistic. You wouldn't do major work on your car with a YouTube video and get pissed off if you break more than you fix; if you did, you're the textbook definition of an idiot. People around here are more than patient with those that refuse to follow simple directions. Especially when 80% of the time the people asking for help are cocky and defensive thinking they know everything because they got to step 14 without making a NAND backup. It honestly gets irritating after a while, especially when they throw blame on everything but themselves. "Oh, I forgot, my hand slipped, my kid did it, etc" when the reality is they either got too confident or too curious instead of just trying to understand what they're doing. I swear it seems like the guide needs a page timer so you can't use the links until you sit there long enough to read the info thrice.
