Ever since 11.2 became fully exploitable we've had an influx of new users with a myriad of issues after following videos on YouTube. STOP. FOLLOWING. THESE. VIDEOS. They are typically full of misinformation, outdated after a day or so due to how rapidly this scene changes, and one even recently led to hundreds of new users bricking their console because the uploader idiotically told viewers to use his OTP. The only guide people should follow is this. <-- THAT ONE RIGHT FUCKING THERE. Sorry if you're a visual aid kind of person, or you don't speak English well enough, but it's either highly risking a brick or facing other problems and posting the exact same question we get hundreds of times a day, or expanding upon your comprehension skills. I hate to post this, but I've seen a cornucopia of new posts every day that usually go "HALP, I WUZ FOLLOWIN DIS VID AN NOW I DUN FUK'D". This thread will most likely go ignored, which is to be expected since people much prefer to open their mouth to be bottle fed rather than expand upon their own knowledge, but whatever; I felt it necessary to bitch.
Bump. This must be a fuckin' PSA. And... That youtuber, YakaraColombia... Repaired for free the consoles in his country, but international followers were screwed the next day after the Magic Kings day. (For those non-spanish users, that day is the equivalent to Santa in spanish-talking countries.)

ok fuck this i'm bringing the evidence.

a9lh updates is the same shit i hear
OH! LOOK one from 2 hours ago.
pftt guide updates my ass
its the same shit.

Just because it's outdated it's not going to brick your 3ds. All that will happen is it might take longer to install because the new version of the guide makes things quicker. If you are going to follow a video guide make sure you follow a trusted person like flare games.

Oh, so many different sources. And you're sure that all those people understand how things really work when installing A9LH, making room for error even smaller and chance of bricking the console even bigger

some people make rooms about plailect's guide issues as well
DO YOU NEED SOME EVIDENCE THAT I SCREENSHOT IT ????!?!?!
I CAN FUCKING SHOW YOU !!

IMO, you can't be on neither both sides, maybe that's what gains you some hate.
I think everyone agree doing a9lh isn't meant for bricking(lol obviously), and no matter what the goal you want to achieve, piracy or some cheats some enhancement, for people not consider themselves as noobs they want it fast and precise, yeah which lead to so many bricks in the youtubers case.
I think it is also fair enough to say if a noob proof guide was made it must have used plailect's guide in some way, (fasthax+ safehax guide was an extension from slowhax+ safehax), if you aren't a dev or have been 3ds hacking from the beginning, some tools you wouldn't even be familiar with, not to mention creating a logical noob proof guide
So what I'm saying is before saying you're not on either sides, video guides were based on plailect's guide, disregarding whether at that time plailect's guide is correct or not, they've used it, so yeah plailect's guide is the mother of noob proof guides, copy pasting pressing buttons and you have a9lh, I would think following the mother will definitely better than following her child, however as mentioned many times you could watch an updated video as tutorial if you really hate words, but that doesn't mean video guides are a necessity.
Plailect's guide and video guides aren't two things that can be equally measured, it's a mother and child, a master and server relationship

Can't read through ~200 posts to find if it's been posted, but what if plailect made a video? For that matter, what if some clearly stated they made a video that was based on plailect's guide, from XX/XX date and to check the guide for updates?

Does that even make sense?
