Look, I read your posts line 2 pages ago, and I must say, its not about preference.
Would you rather have an unexperienced surgeon during your brain surgery, because he does it fast but could end up killing you, or a very experienced surgeon who takes longer, but will 99.999999999% save your life?
Fact is also, that when people would get menuhax cfw on 11.2, they would be guaranteed to update and kill their setup accidentally.
And people only bricked with the plailect guide because they decided they knew things better and skipped/changed steps, while most video guides have the mistakes in them, so even if you follow that 100%, you would still fail.

Also you are a fucking re**rd that should get a restriction order from any electronic device on this planet because you butcher them by using shit that kills them because its convenient, you write like a 4 year old with parkinsons and dyslexia who got his hands chopped off and lack logical thinking. Go fun yourself.

it is preference when you talking about a 3ds and not your life. ;)
btw so u rather have a newb that kills a 3ds right away by doing a9lh than getting an emunand.
isnt the emunand way easier to do.
and we are talking about newbs man.
it's not like your idea is better than mine you genius.
lmao like plailect's guide was a 99.9%. its way behind that.
did you even look at the guide yourself ?
talking with no evidence.
i hate when people take a stand with nothing to back them up.
also i'm with both side im not against one.
talking about i'm retarded. this is what i'm talking about he skipped through the whole thread and talk just by looking my lastest post.
that will get you nowhere.
and this is how these newbs get their 3ds bricked by checking plailect's guide.
THEY DONT CHECK EVERYTHING JUST LIKE YOU DID GOODBYE.
(i bet another person is going to hop in and say the same thing just to know that im against nothing)
''you write like a 4 year old with parkinsons'' You type like a 4 years old with parkinsons . . *
i just felt like correcting what you said because its very ironic comming from someone who tries to use grammer and punctuation.

it is easier to do but it is also easier to screw up later (updating it from the wrong place, updating your sysNAND when installing DSiWare titles etc.). There are precautions, sure, but isn't it better to be extra cautious when installing something to use your CFW without any fear after that than to be scared of accidental updates every time the new update is out?
Yeah, Plailect's guide has something that videos do not: consistency. There's no easy way to update the video - you must record the new one, and there's no definite possibility that the newbs will use up-to-date guides because of that (either because of video being uploaded before some huge update or because they won't simply find it). But the text guide can be updated easily, and every time someone new clicks on the hyperlink, he's going to see an up-to-date guide.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

(by the way, setting up Menuhax with EmuNAND is not that easy. You need to backup your whole SD card, do some formats and additional setups if you don't want to lose your data, downgrade your 3DS to Menuhax-compatible firmware etc.)

Oh, and just in case: I do have evidence for everything I said as one of my 3DS'es went all this way through the scene releases from Palantine to CTRNAND Luma-Kecleon

ok you guys got to stop with the guide is better than that i'm not gonna talk about it again people think i'm always against it.
look, emunand is the opposite of a9lh. simpler from the start, and issues at the end, and for a9lh is issues at the start, and you're cooling it at the end.
both side got their negatives, but i suggest it is better to get a emunand for the moment than trying to install a9lh.
it will be safer that way.
it will also let the newb choose to have his console experience a9lh or too scared too mess up because it's too much for him.
and people, who doesnt say that those aren't kids ? (i'm i the only one thinking here? y'all keep on coming with those ''yeah its the videos'', but dont know why they got their 3ds bricked)
they might say its the video, but only in general.
they wont say anything else.
YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN (i'm not saying this again i swear i said it alot)
think outside the box.
also 90% of the videos take their knowledge from the guide.
also, they SHOW you how to do it.
true they might not be updated at all times but some other youtuber would.
next time i see someone type like i'm against plailect and tell me that its better and youtube vids are outdated amma show evidence so you can SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU TALK SHIT !
and i'm saying this again . .
I'M NOT AGAINST NONE OF THE WAYS THE NEWB GET THEIR KNOWLEDGE FROM SINCE BOTH WAYS GOT THEIR OWN FLAWS AND HAVE AN ELEMENT WHERE THEY ARE GOOD AT !
THANK YOU!
(btw we are talking about SAFEHAX users to tries to goto a9lh not a9lh in general)

I understand you and your opinion. However, that's not the point I am trying to make. Even if youtubers update their guides, it's up to newbies to find those guides. And even with the newest guides on the channel, they find older videos because they've got more views. to actually update a YouTube guide, the youtuber must delete the old one so the newbies could only find the one guide that is up-to-date. Doubt that anyone even does that

This is good.
@RiverPerson
If you truly are looking at both sides, why don't you post advantages of the text guide and be helpful for once?

yo chill not being already i dont use plailect guide for my a9lh.
i'm not against anything that's it.
what about you i bet you're more if a plailect than i am.
show him sum heart and be helpful for once ;)
(see anyone can say that this shows how irrelevant ur post was, but i dont want to be mean)

You still haven't got a answer to my question, so I can say that you're bullshitting and you are saying that so you don't get proved wrong.
Also, please
do not type
like this
thanks :^)

now you get it respect man.
but i think it's the newbies fault for not checking the date and not being well informed in the first place.
well its not their fault for not being informed i mean they just came in the scene.
the views might catch the kids off guard which resolve to their 3ds being bricked.
i'm not sure if older peeps would bee fooled by this though.

oh advantages.
don't you see the thread is full of it why will i go take someone else's knowledge.
i'm hearing the same thing over and over again.
guide is better than the video because countless of updates which makes it safer for the newbs.
that is all i hear.
its the same thing from the same person.
and i'm focusing on the video side because i'm trying to tell people that videos aren't that bad,
and some just come here and talk shit, so that pisses me off when someone don't know what they are talking about or never even took a peek.
but yeah i'm on both sides.
at the start of this thread you would see i didn't took a stand about videos were better than the guide.

Last edited by RiverPerson,
I don't want their knowledge, I want yours.
I'm sure that you are just using that as an excuse to not get proved wrong.

prove what wrong you just asked a question.
in my knowledge i know that plailect guide is got numerous updates (that what he says) which is susposed to make it safer just because he updating the tools .
(i bet this was your reasoning point about why it's better than videos as well)
also, i didn't came here to know which is better than which i came here because bunch of peeps with no evidence and experience talking like the already saw the videos and say their own things.
this is why i take no stance because videos and the guide got their own benefits and flaws.
(also after your post i'm not posting because same more people is going to come without looking everything in this thread and they get confused)
just like what they do for plailect's guide and get their 3ds bricked :rofl2:
plailect is a good guide, but will you will actualy became lazy for a while and start skipping points if you were a newb.

Everything you said about video guides. As this is not your infomation, I can call bullshit and you're just trying to not get proved wrong about "WHEW VIDIO GIDES R BUTTR DAN TXT EVENTHO TXT IZ MUR UPDATD AN EZTY TO FOLLW!!!1111!"
Grow up, and just admit that text guides are better.

ok then tell me your information about it.
if its the same thing as me there is one thing.
we both got our information fromt he same spot
and by this point i'm not even trying to stay clean.
i'm not against videos or the guide.
i'm just against the newb's action.
the videos and the guide are good.
some want to watch, some want to read.
i don't see the issue behind it.
it's just that people keep skipping parts which makes them brick their console.

Last edited by RiverPerson,
followed a a9lh video and it worked
they just dont know how to read or go along the video
and lots of peeps got bricked by plaiect's (sorry for buchering the name) guide
we different.
There have been bricks with YouTube guides because they're outdated, or the files have been tampered with, even if not on purpose. There's a reason why I've avoided making an A9LH installation video - it changes over time, and updating videos takes a lot of work. More than that, making minor mistakes in other videos or files is acceptable, even if users have issues, they will ask and I'll solve, maybe add an annotation to the video - but, A9LH? If they meet an error, it may very well be the 3DS' last. It's too critical of a step to get right for there to be any room for mistakes.

@TheKingy34
this is what i'm talking about
people that doesnt read the full thread to know about what we currently talking about.
those are the same newbs that get their 3ds bricked because they don't read the guide fully.
it's not the videos nor the guide.
its the person.

You're wrong. https://www.youtube.com/user/yakara3000

This is what I'm talking about.

This user, though he already fixed the issue, made an A9LH installation guide, and he mistakenly included his OTP in the files, causing many to brick. He's a fairly big YouTuber, sooo..... his videos and files do get a lot of traffic. Following guides from trusted sources, from tried & true methods/users/etc. is the recommended method, supported by the whole community.

Let's start with the obvious - Time. Videos take time to create, render, and upload. While on a text guide, it is just as simple as replacing a few or more words or links, so therefore, text guides will always have more updates. Next, misinformation, Do you actually think some 'smart' person is going to know EVERYTHING based off the guide? No. They just do this to plagiarize, and it will cause bricks and other bad things. Now, to plagiarizing, the creator has spent MANY hours, and even months of the year so you can get a permanent way of hacking your console, but what do the videos do? Take it, monetize it, and make profit off other's hard work. I think this is just sad.

I don't think monetizing the content is bad, but, frankly, I do agree with the first part. And it is a fact that, in an attempt to make money, misinformed uploaders can cause others to brick because they themselves lack knowledge.
