Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just got myself the zSun wireless thing. If I'm going to use loadiine should the backups be on the microSD inserted into the zSun, or on an SD card in the Wii U's SD card slot. I'm just wondering as the zSun is a USB connection and that might cause speed issues?

Okay, this is insanely frustrating. I had the Android self host method working just fine yesterday. But today when I went to try and use the app, the Wii U refuses to connect fully to my Galaxy S5's hotspot, even though the phone says a client (the Wii U) is connected. I'm not sure if the fault is on my phone or the Wii U, but I need some help here before one or the other of them go through my window.

I know this doesn't help you but why self host anymore? Just set up haxchi and you're done. No more worries

Well I for example selfhost because I don't own any DS VC game and I don't want to buy one at the moment. Selfhosting is still working pretty fine for me, although only with HBL 1.3. 1.4 only works in around 20% for me...

What happened with this thread? I was looking for it, it used to be sticked on main page. Anyway, good job @Kafluke , it's a very good solution for who doesn't have Internet on WiiU or haxchi.

I think it was unstickied because even the creator recommends you use haxchi now.

Most of the Web exploit related threads were unstickied when better more stable entry point methods were released.

I don't think actually works with HBL 1.4. I had a SD card with that version plugged in today and was getting an error launching (tried 3 times). When I switched back to the original provided HBL 1.2, it worked fine. HBL 1.4 works fine when invoked through the public URLs.

I never updated this for 1.4. I started working on it and then haxchi came out making this AIO pointless

It was great work, and it does have some uses still :)

Only 1 of my Wii Us I've setup Haxchi on. Guess I better be buying another DS VC game for the second wii u

Is there any way to redirect any of the default Wii U browser bookmarks directly to the HBL? Perhaps the cgi2.nintendo.co.jp address?

I have a Wii U with a system error which prevents the browsers keyboard from loading, so I cant enter any URL's:-

In case it helps I can still enter the internet browsers proxy details, since that appears to use a different type of on screen keyboard than the browsers address bar/bookmarks page uses. I'm hoping that if I can load homebrew I might just be able to fix it by deleting corrupted files using ftpiiu everywhere.

Updated with HBL 1.4 and Mocha from web
Cool :)

How stable is HBL 1.4 loading? I remember hearing a while back (in this thread was it?) that the payloads in the package were not compatible.

And yeah, I never saw a reason to unsticky the thread or discontinue it for that matter. It still is the "goto free" solution :) .. Haxchi might be better, but it's a paid solution. Not everyone is willing/can buy an eshop game

Well, I ran it several times and it was stable and people have been asking for it so I didn't do much more testing after that. Give it a go and tell me how it works for you.

Don't forget to update your sd files too

I'll bet you could do this in your router. Google your router model and "redirect outbound Internet traffic".

I know you could do this with a PC. Youd need to either set up a hotspot on a laptop or get a crossover cable and a wii u ethernet adapter. I'd have to Google that too.

Now I'm intrigued

Mayne internal DNS?

Redirecting a host name to another address is easy enough with a local lightweight DNS server like DualServer, but the tricky part is that you would need a web server running at the target address that has the path /favorites/wiiu.php, or else you'd get a Not Found error.

just right now i visit: loadiine.ovh/kafluke
the url was not found.
any problem?

of course i still can go loadiine.ovh and manually enter hbl 1.3

what's wrong with your direct link?
