Ok so I'm on CFW Luma now. Once I'm done do I need to keep the SD Card as is? And where do I put CIA games and N3DS games on the SD Card?

At the bottom of the guide there is a section of files you must keep. Just a few. And you make a folder CIA to put in all CIA files that you are gonna inject with FBI

Best thing to do is just to install Freeshop and let that thing deal with games (which are indeed installed on your SD Card). But I guess if you really want to have the cia's without Freeshop to put them in the /cias/ folder (not sure if you actually need to put them in that folder, I just did this personally) and install them trough FBI after.

Yeah the CIA folder it's just for convenience, I've installed from any folder, but it's nicer and less cluttered.

Alright, so i started trying to follow the guide, and the magnet torrent link gives me a 2.1.0-4U_ctrtransfer_o3ds.bin and a 2.1.0-4U_ctrtransfer_o3ds.bin.sha file. Does it matter that im on the N3DS despite it saying o3ds? Im asking mostly because im getting the black screen on step 8, so im not sure if i have the incorrect setup or i just need to keep trying (im aware that this step can take like 50+ tries)

Edit: Since several ppl here don't post the link I removed the link... cause I have feeling it's not ok..

(You can always do a nice Google search for it and use the "last 24 hours filter" It should bring a reddit page where a link to a website with .pw extension)

N3ds didn't exist back in 2.1.0 so it doesn't matter. Just use the file as stated.
And yeah it could take a while, check is you are using a cartridge and then maybe try a different exploit.

The long old fashion is to google "that iso site" and to get the CIA file lol. Yeah just google around till you stumble upon that CIA.

Post a screenshot of your microSD root. Google "that iso site" and search for freeshop there. Install and download 3DS games. There's also TWLoader for NDS games.

Got my 3ds finished and working this morning. Everything seems great. Only problem I have is it keeps saying sd card was removed. Anyone know why?

Corrupted SD card maybe? Try backing up, repair/format, then put everything back into the SD card.

Search "that titlekey site" and add the direct link for the titlekeys (right-click encTitleKeys.bin's download, copy link address and put it in your freeshop config).
