Hacking Is it safe to downgrade with a theme on?

I'm going to downgrade my 3DS with safehax and waithax from 11.0 to 2.1.0. Is it safe to downgrade with a custom theme on the Home Menu because the 2.1.0 didn't have any themes. Is it going to have problems or is it just disabling the theme when launching?

Personally, to take no risks, just have the default white theme. Just to be safe

Is it possible to go to Home Menu after waithax finished or do I have to restart the system and do everything all over again?
