its messy and doesnt clean up. as said before its in alpha its not ready to actually be used as a product

Well happy that at least it start correctly. Normaly i have zero luck with this alpha project but ehi it work and i can't wait for this to become more stable and allow to do something.

not on 11.2 thats the point
im saying fasthax is 11.2 only and that he should use waithax as hes on 11.0 i should put a period after starters

I believe the transfer will transfer the actual app, so I think that would be your first step to CFW.

That's not how this works. There is no nand access, and so it's not possible to downgrade.

Need I remind you that you could downgrade with only k11 until 10.7? It was trickery that shouldn't be normally possible (it used to require a k9 exploit for it to let you install a lower version of a title)

the way 9.3-10.7 downgrades worked was that you uninstalled a title first, then installed a lower version one and you tricked the k9 for it not to notice an older version was secretly being installed. Which got effectively patched on 11.0 with an arm9 hardcoded minimum version list. Even if you uninstalled the title this would be the second wall you'd encounter. A race condition yet to be implemented could circumvent this on 11.0-11.1 but got patched on 11.2 and it's extremely precise the timing needed to succeed.

This, hopefully, will replace waithax/slowhax on 11.2, nothing more than that.
All the ways we have to downgrade from 11.X remain the same.
Except slowhax/waithax only works on 11.0-11.1(?)

I completely agree that this could lead to downgrading in a few months, but with so many new members asking about downgrading 11.2 with fasthax - I think it's better to talk about reality right now rather than possibility.

But again, you're totally right that this can/will lead to downgrades.

No one is planning on developing the Race Condition exploit because of how much of a bastard it may be to code. We may never even see it. I'm just saying what i've gathered around the forum. It exists, it's just too damn hard to get it exploited.

I'm just correcting you that you didn't always need k9 access for downgrades, you could do it with just k11 up to 9.3-10.7 when people discovered that could even be done. You only exploit dsiware to use its k9 capabilities of writing into NAND to downgrade Native_FIRM down to 10.7 (where the min ver list wasn't there) and thus continue to downgrade without the use of k9 even if the rest of the console was on 11.0+.

This is also how hardmods do it, except you don't need a dsi sincd you're literally writing to NAND directly.

I wouldn't quite call it correcting me, since I was never talking about older fws.

I think we'll get 11.2 downgrades from someone finding a bug in another dsi game personally. I don't have an opinion on the race condition.

The way you worded it made it sound to me like you think/thought that NAND access is a MUST when trying to downgrade. Which wasn't always the case and that's why i quoted you. Sorry if it sounded odd.

Almost all games are "patchable" replaceable with sudokuv0 with k9 access. I don't think it can get any better than that, even if you need 2 3ds's to achieve it. I think they've tried other games but haven't found any golden to exploit ones like fieldrunners/legends of exidia/guitar hero/4 swords...

well reality is. with k11 + DSiWare Downgrade Downloads It should work just as good as 11.1 and fasthax downloads... also with the future sighax we would be able to sign our own firmware so any k11 exploit will allow us to install it. "Game Over, Nintendo."

That's what I said, you use fasthax on 11.2 because waithax/slowhax has been fixed on this version
it works from 10.3 upto 11.1 but its most stable on 11.x

its because tose 4 games are the only ones they have gotten r/w access on with a k11 exploit the others have required a k9 exploit (aka cfw) which is why they are used in a transfer as you dont need to install cfw on cfw but cfw on non-vfw. also sudokuv0? as far as i remember sudokuhax only gave a k7 exploit (useful for DSi Homebrew)
