Yep, indeed there is. And you'll be able to find it. It's very well known.
There's that entropic site.

It's the recent version, so you gotta scan a qr code for it to install the cache, here's the link: https://mega.nz/#F!pFMmTKJZ!5SFHg3WqvkmtpVctuf5K2A, and here's the tutorial you have to follow for it to work: (sorry but It's in spanish, just follow what he does)

there is my translation for unfamiliar people:
Hey guys today i wanna to show you download freeshop in our 3ds (and explains freeshop) in summary he explain you can download videogames in nintendo servers and you dont need anything special and he explains about keys and everytime are updated our catalog obivously you need FBI in your 3ds console he have another video about identify consoles (3ds 2ds new 3ds) vice versa (in computer) he enters in freeshop's installer and you copy and paste in your sd (3ds) (in console again) he enters in fbi and enter the first option pressing a several times and the plus of this its this freeshop uptades automatically and right now appears freeshop icon (typical gift animation and you open it in home menu) this guy explains about freeshop the first time take more time becouse needs update all dont alarm anibody this is normal the first time have anything becouse you need put option about urls and updates our own cache actually anybody its banned (he says about pokemon and use cheats and save editors) you navigate in shop and you press a in game as you whish shows explanation about videogame and 3 screenshots and i dont spent money anymore (if do you know i mean) (wild link's doll appeared) and goodbye everyone i hope this video are useful for you

Goddammit Kotaku, you forgot to quote the most important bit of Cruels tirade:

Also, reminder that the takedown was filed within part of the usage of the "Nintendo 3DS Logo Data file", which is the boot up screen for various CIAs. Something which could put all other CIA homebrew at risk if I'm not mistaken unless makerom changes (can it be changed).
Yep this can be. It's very simple. You just need to change a line in the rsf file.

I actually added it to my fork. You must have makerom rev 085e37 to build.

No.
  • No one will be banned for using freeShop
  • freeShop will not become unusable or disappear
  • It is still safe to use
  • It will still get cache updates
It is unknown whether or not development will continue, but either way the app will always operate the same. No bans, no harm, nothing. It's as safe as using the normal eShop.

    Only Xbox I don't have is the OG, and One X model specifically, I regret giving my chipped OG model to one of my kids years ago, after later hearing he sold it to pawn shop, damn kids!

    I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Nice. Which operating system are you installing?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, windows 10 and some linux distro like linux mint
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    dualbooth
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Speaking of which
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
