Nintendo sucks

I did a DSiWare downgrade for a friend, and I called up Nintendo Australia to get my account back. They wouldn't do it. I made up a stupid story about my cousin transferring to her console and then leaving and asking if I can get it back (note to others - stick to the traditional transferred then dropped it in the bath story).

She also said I was banned - I asked what that meant and she said it meant I wouldn't be able to use the eShop or play online. I can't see how I could be banned - I haven't played online in a year (and even then it was like an hour tops of Mario Kart in cia form) and the console that my ID is on now can use the eShop perfectly fine. I don't think they know what they're talking about.

Anyway the way they spoke to me, so condescendingly, made me really hate them. Until now I was pirating a little and buying the stuff I really liked. Now I'm never going to buy Nintendo stuff ever again except second hand hardware that can be hacked. Good riddance.

Why even buy Nintendo products seconded-hand? Save up and buy a decent computer that suites your needs.

I don't need to spend $2000 on a computer that in two years will need an expensive upgrade to play the latest games, and which is an uncomfortable experience emulating on. I am very happy with my $150 & $200 consoles to play games and my $300 4 year old computer to do work on. I have this debate every other week with my colleagues. PC gaming is dumb.

They represent a time when you truly did need dedicated system to play graphically-inclined games.

You still do if you don't want or need a $2000 computer that needs several hundred dollar RAM, video card, etc upgrades every few years.

If you had the choice of buying a $300 appliance that can weed your garden, prune your fruit trees, fertilise your veggie patch, and peel potatoes, and you live in an apartment, are you going to buy this device or just get a $2 potato peeler?

Sometimes buying one device for one purpose is the smarter way to go

Where is this "You NEED to spend at least $2,000 on a computer." rhetoric coming from??? I've NEVER paid more than $1,000 for a good computer that I regularly play games on.

I'd go with the quality ~$15 multi-purpose peeler.
