I installed Haxchi v2.3u1 using this config.
a=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
b=wiiu/apps/sigpatcher2sysmenu/sign_patcher.elf
default=wiiu/apps/iosuhax/iosuhax.elf
All worked great. So then I loaded haxchi, then I loaded homebrew launcher and installed cbhc 1.2 it installed but got stuck after saying installation complete so I hard powered down and now the wii u bootloops!

I've managed to recover it :) Held the b button during cold boot and it loaded the homebrew launcher and then I uninstalled cbhc.

Both Haxchi v2.3u1 and cbhc are buggy on my system. both get stuck on installation complete and never show flushed nand cache, the wii u just hard locks! Haxchi v2.2 never had this fault!

cbhc hard locks and doesn't exit to the system menu so I never get the chance to choose what to autoboot! I think I'm going to stick to Haxchi only as less of a brick risk.
I don't really need to autoboot when I think about it as I don't use dlc and only have 1 vc title installed with a fake ticket, and I hardly play it!
After some reading iosuhax isn't a supported option in cbhc as a boot option! The work around would be to replace the homebrew launcher elf in wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher folder with iosuhax elf and rename it as homebrew_launcher.elf.
I could attempt it again and when cbhc locks hard reset my wii u and hold A button to boot the homebrew launcher and from there try and load the home menu and try and access cbhc autoboot options!
This all came about because the cbhc installer hardlocks the wii u before returning to the home menu! which means I have to hard reset the wii u which creates the boot loop until I hold the A button during a cold boot which will load the homebrew channel!

Thats your problem. You have no clue what your doing and your messing with stuff that require you to know what your doing or your console will brick. Your extremely lucky you didn't brick setting it up.
It's not like he's editing system.xml himself, CBHC is perfectly stable and replaces your existing Haxchi setup. Even if you ruined your haxchi before installing CBHC it would work perfectly fine after. It's not that big of a deal, whatsoever.

cbhc installer hardlocks the wii u before returning to the home menu! which means I have to hard reset the wii u which creates the boot loop! because I don't get the chance to tell cbhc what to boot it doesn't know what to boot and goes in to a infinity loop during boot! It might be that my nand only has just over 200mb free space that causes cbhc installer to crash and not to exit to the home menu!

@Reman34 Is you iosuhax.elf booting syshax.xml?
You tell me as I didn't create iosuhax and there's no information that I've found that says it loads syshax.xml! Regardless of whether it does or doesn't, it makes no difference as this isn't the cause of the boot loop! cbhc crashing and not exiting to the system menu and allowing me to choose a boot option is the cause!

That could be a cause. You see coldboothax replaces system.xml to boot the coldboot title. The coldboot title boots a clone of system.xml called syshax.xml. If its booting system.xml it will always boot the coldboot title and start looping.

I get that this could cause the loop once I've restarted the wii u! But this shouldn't cause cbhc installer to crash and not return to the system menu and allow me to choose system menu as a autoboot option!

Just updated Haxchi using this config!
a=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
default=fw.img
fw.img is root directory and Haxchi loaded it fine!
then I ran the cbhc installer and the same again, it crashed and didn't return to system menu after completing install! so I held the A button during boot and the homebrew channel loaded. I tried accessing the home menu from the homebrew launcher but it just looped again. So I reloaded the homebrew launcher again and uninstalled cbhc, and the wii u is working fine again. So iosuhax isn't the problem the cbhc installer is!!!
Also Haxchi 2.3u1 crashes in the same manner whilst installing, but loads fine after a hard reset.

Does anyone know what is fixed/improved with the cbhc and haxchi revisions? as I can't find any info on them! Deciding whether to try cbhc 1.1 and see if the problem still exists!
Haxchi 2.3 exits fine but Haxchi 2.3u1 crashes before exiting! I did notice that haxchi 2.2 and 2.3 doesn't display cleared nand cache at the end of the install but Haxchi 2.3u1 does! But Haxchi crashes just before it's meant to display that message which leads me to believe there might be a clear nand cache bug that crashes Haxchi 2.3u1!

I did hear of very few people who have problems with the installer and all of them had it because they had a usb device connected during installation which I write you should never do, after that it always worked just fine. Also, since I personally never had any problem with the installers myself and by now I easly used it over 100 times on over 20 different ds vc games I cant exactly do anything either.

Removing the usb devices during the install was the Fix!
Thank you. :)

I am wondering, that he could boot homebrew launcher by holding "B".
Will this configuration be set up by default, that you can autoboot into hbl by holding "B"?

It's pretty easy to figure out what happened. system.xml was changed, but rom.zip wasnt injected for whatever reason. Therefore he coldbooted his old haxchi installation which he luckily still had left. And his config.txt was pointing to hbl when pressing B. To answer your question: No, if you set up CBHC correctly, pressing B will do nothing.

Oh cool, so it turned out you created an entire thread, and pinged Fix94 all because you didn't bother reading the directions? Are you f***ing kidding me right now? Is this what the Temp has turned into?
Sorry didn't realize FIX94's mother was about!!! Sorry for using precious server hdd space!!! and for your info I read through most of the infomation that I could find before posting and didn't come across needing to remove usb devices! I didn't see FIX94 having any problems answering me, so what gives you the right to question me!! Next time I want your opinion I'll give you one!
