Hi,

Just registered for this question
So, the condition is
I own an O3DS, hacked using A9LH and Luma 5.2
Yesterday, the O3ds started to act strangely, everytime i booted it up from it's sleep, only black screen flash once and then it's black at all, only the blue light is on. This condition happened 2 times and it always happen if I put the 3DS in sleep mode before. Booting yo Decrypt9 and Luma setting works though

Later, I formatted the SD Card accidentally from my PC, I cannot access the Luma setting at all, it only shows black screen with blue light on

So, the question is how to bring this thing back to life?

Thanks pal, been googling it without results

You should first update luma as your using a very outdated version. Copy arm9loaderhax.bin from this 7z to the sd card root and replace the current if it exists

Second can you boot into luma config? (Hold select on boot)

Unless you can boot any of luma's payloads and have a functional nand backup your bricked.
no, i cannot boot to anything at all, every button combination does nothing

Gosh, there you go my beloved 3ds
My curiousity, if I bought new 3ds and hack it, one day the sdcard is broken, will I bricked again?

It sounds like you're bricked unfortunately. If you get it working somehow I'd recommend switching to menuhax until a9lh is absolutely needed.

And to all those riding the a9lh hype train, you see this? Another brick. Stop telling people it's the safest option when it clearly is not.

I never thought that accidentally formating SD card can result to such effect
Well, lessons learned
And yes. i rode the hype train because i think it's safe

Did you try a different SD card? Try that before leaping to the conclusion of a brick. I fail to see how you can brick if you are not writing to the NAND.

Also, assuming you get it working again, put arm9loaderhax.bin in your CTR-NAND so you aren't relying on your SD card or SD card reader for booting.

Put the files back on the sd card
The problem is it's formatted

Tried, I put empty sdcard to the 3ds, not working

Put the files back on the sd card
If the files were missing the console would blink blue then shut off. It wouldn't stay blue.

But did you put a different SD card in the console, not just the same one but empty?

Make sure your have the arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of your SD card.
Since you were running an older version of Luma3DS, I am also assuming you are running an older version of A9LH, which is why it just locks with the black screen and blue light. That's how the older version of A9LH used to work without an SD card or without the arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of the SD card.
Sounds like you somehow bricked then.
This is not a brick, this is how the old version of A9LH used to work without an SD card and or without the arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of the SD card.

He doesn't need another SD card
The blink then turn off was introduced in V2 of A9LH. V1 of A9LH used to just hang on a black screen

Do not suggest this with V1! It will brick the system! They need to be on v4 for that feature!

OP if you are interest in running Luma3DS from your CTRNAND, I suggest checking out the Guide to updating your A9LH

You should just download the one he gave you and copy it to your SD card. Can I see a screenshot of the root of your SD Card?
Did you install any patches to your NAND?

Alright, I managed to recover my arm9loader.bin file using Easeus (and this is the only file I can recover, the others just result in gibberish file)

Copied the bin arm9loader.bin file and now I'm able to get into the Luma 3DS 6.6 config
What should I do now?

Turn on
"Autoboot to sysNAND" (if you are using sysNAND that is)
"Show NAND or user string in System Settings"
and optionally
"Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM"
Then press start. It should start with a new home screen from there.

Done, reboot to black screen
