Ohayo! Today I was playing Pokémon Moon and tried to add a friend to the list, but when I tapped on the friend button in the Home Menu, the 3DS seemed to freeze. I tried going into the list after opening mii maker and mii plaza and waiting 40mins for it to load but it doesn't response at all.

Any clues of what can I do?

I am using N3DS XL (a9lh+ Luma 6.6) on sysnand 11.2

Have you made a personal Mii Character yet?

Yep. Long time ago, I made emunand, and then flashed it into my sysnand during the a9lh proccess. Due to some problems, I formatted my sysnand by settings and made a new mii and new NNID. Eshop works and online features too, but it keeps freezed with a white top screen and "Friend List" banner bottom screen.

No, I did it once.
Right now your NANDs are linked, and that is VERY dangerous. You need to format again to de-link them. Format either sysNAND or emuNAND to unlink. Doesn't matter. Since you already formatted once and re-linked, just format one more time. In the future when formatting emu or sysNAND, always do it twice.

OP, use tinyformat and make a backup of sd content and things, also.

Is there any chance to reset the friend module or something?

I think, there is. Using one of the SDK tools called "Friend Add Tool" or there may be something in either GodMode9/Decrypt9 to do so, not 100%

So, what I gotta do is go to sysnand Settings and format it again?

The sd card contents won't work after the format because the associated NAND won't point to the correct 32 character folder.

Yes. If formatting emuNAND, use tinyformat. If formatting sysNAND, use system settings.

If you use tinyformat it doesn't touch the sd contents unlike system settings format? You can do it in either emunand/sysnand to unlink it? If you get the gift unwrapping bug its a confirmation that you have linked NANDs.

Sorry, just noticed you have a9lh installed. Just wanna mention its far less "dangerous" than I said before with a9lh, its much worse for menuhax. Either way having linked NANDs isn't good, just saying no need to panic, haha.

When you reformat, the NAND uses a different encryption for the sd card, files from before the format won't work, even with tinyformat. Tinyformat doesn't delete the sd card, true, but that doesn't make it work after. There is a way to decrypt old Nintendo 3ds folders if you dump the Xorpads from the matching NAND, but I'm not 100% sure of the steps involved.

OP, do you still have the emunand parition on your sd card? If so, you can remove it using emuNAND9, seeing as you've already cloned it emuNAND to sysNAND its fine, less 1GB from your sd card
He probably didn't clone emu to sys if he is still using emu......

EDIT: I'm an idiot and need to read better, sorry :P

"I am using N3DS XL (a9lh+ Luma 6.6) on sysnand 11.2" - " Long time ago, I made emunand, and then flashed it into my sysnand during the a9lh proccess." okay

Yeaaaaa, I edited my previous post. My B.

@Manurocker95 Do what @proflayton123 said an just remove emuNAND, since it is a clone of your sysNAND now. Backup your SD card first, then use Emunand9 to delete the emuNAND, restore the sd card, then look inside your "Nintendo 3DS" folder on the sd card and figure out which one of the 32 character folders is your emuNAND, then delete it. Easiest way to tell which is which is go into sysNAND and install something, then look at the "last edited date" of the 2 folders on your PC. Most recent would obviously be sysNAND.

I don't have emunand on the SD, but I've noticed something weird. Using system formatting, removes your frind code, added friends and stuff, right? I got my o3ds detecting the previous fc as online. So what could it mean?
