So that your Emunand has the sysnand firm. You have rxtools still? It should be Luma handling this, and the ips files should work.
I only change to boot from Luma directly, yes I didn't remove the rxtools
but normally, is that all we have to do with the ips files is to put them in : SD/luma/titles/0004000000164800/code.ips
then go to the config menu and x "Enable game patching" and "Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R"
after that, boot the 3ds with holding the R button and go into the pokemon game with the ips file working immediately?

Basically yes, have you tried it?

but what is the use for the "Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R" to the ips file?
I am not sure at all....all I know about my N3ds is A9LH, boot rxtool and then do my work
btw is this supposed to be able to use those ips file on page 6?

Use SysNAND FIRM is for booting EmuNAND with your SysNands FIRM

I would recommend switching your emunand to your sysnand since emunand is not really needed anymore and it frees up space if you remove it. But Just My Opinion.

If you do want to switch.
1.Make a NAND Backup of both emu and sys for safe keeping and move them to your PC and Also make a backup of all your files on your SD Card Including the Nintendo 3DS folder
2.Take the emunand backup and write it to your nand.
4.Format the SD Card to FAT32
5.Then move all your SD Card Files back
6.And your done.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Forgot to say if you keep your Nintendo 3DS folder it will keep all your games and move them to your Sysnand

I did but when I boot with holding the R button, it turns black screen...
My 3ds is actually the same as the one in the video I put on #297, I have to hold L to turn on
then hold R? but it becomes black screen...

Thanks for that, I will try if I still fail..
Basically, I was using ntr cheats to turn off the outline of pkm sun, but when I try to connect to the internet in the Festival plaza, it replies error to me
I have googled quite a while, and someone says the game is actually on extended ram mode, which means there will be not enough ram for the ntr once I connect the internet
so I am now looking for a simple ways to disable the outline. I want to play rating battle without the ugly outline

Try it without holding R then, it should still autoboot to Emunand. Also, the plugin you're using doesn't work when going online. The people behind it deliberately made it as an anti-cheating measure.

alright now, but same, the outline is still there when I get into pkm sun

here is a screenshot of the root of my sd card, I know it's a bit messy....but...is anything missing or affecting the Luma?

That is all right, and I tested the ips myself and it works. My only guess is that it just doesn't work on Emunand. Is it the latest firmware? It should be.

I have the IPS and it works on my sysnand make sure you have the latest luma commit f29b9d1 (You can check in the settings menu) It might just not work in Emunand the IPS Patches
My Luma is v6.6-f29b9d14, it should be the most updated version

Oh god, thank you to both of you. This may be the problem...
I may need to switch it then. Is there any detail tutorial on that? or the software required
After switching to the sysnand, will I still be able to download games and install them onto the 3ds like the emunand I am using now?

Yes, the point of A9LH is making a CFW sysnand. I think it's as simple as backing up emunand with Decrypt9 and then going to sysnand restore option and flashing the emunand. Make sure to backup the contents of the SD card, as well as backing up sysnand along with backing up emunand.

Oh, that means everything will be the same but just using sysnand?
so now I have to back up both sides on Decrypt9?

Yes that is right and backup both sides.
Do like I said here
1.Make a NAND Backup of both emu and sys for safe keeping and move them to your PC and Also make a backup of all your files on your SD Card Including the Nintendo 3DS folder.
2.Take the emunand backup and write it to your nand.
4.Format the SD Card to FAT32

6.And your done.

Yes romfs support was added. RomFSes go to /luma/titles/<titleid>/romfs, make sure you use the latest Luma commit, this and the code.bin/ips features have not been added to a stable release.
Just tried this, is the romfs supposed to be named something in particular?
For example, the two paths I've tried are:
\luma\titles\0004000000086400\romfs\00086400.romfs
\luma\titles\0004000000086400\00086400.romfs
and neither have worked.

try
/luma/titles/0004000000086400/romfs

just rename 00086400.romfs to romfs
