With all these rumors about an update (yea, fake I know but it's inevitable) it just hit me that it might be a good idea to backup your genuine ticket. At least for one DS game, so you would be able to reinstall it in the future without connecting to eshop. Maybe Haxchi (or similar hack) should be applied on a clean game in the future. Or maybe you manage to screw something up and want to "start fresh".

So, easiest why to dump your own tickets and put it together with the game downloaded from NUSDownloader?

The 90% of the times I boot haxchi it doesn't load the HBL. Instead it prints "-3". If the HBL boots and I load an .elf, when I return to the HBL pressing Home it prints "-4". How can I fix this? I have an EUR console with Brain Training. I've installed Haxchi twice with the 2.0 installer (the second one with a new banner and sound).

The old(free) version of brain age uses an outdated nds emulator, and isn't compatible with contenthax.
Download again from the eshop, and try again.

-3 means it could not find any sd inserted and -4 means it was unable to actually mount the inserted sd card so my guess would be that your sd card is nearly dead and its time for you to maybe switch it out for a new one.

Is this possible? Dump your own ticket and reinstall in the future? Would like to do this myself, just in case.

After doing quite a lot of work I now think it is time to release this - Version 2.0 of Haxchi!
If you already have a installation of v1.7 or v1.8 then this wont bring anything new for you, it just makes it far simpler for new people.
It now comes with its own installer and does not need iosuhax, wupclient or any additional scripts anymore, just your wiiu, a DS VC game and a way to run the homebrew launcher.
If you happen to have a DS VC title that is listed in this readme then go ahead and grab both haxchi .elf and .zip from here:
https://github.com/FIX94/haxchi/releases
The .elf goes into sd:/wiiu/apps and the .zip should just be extracted to sd:/haxchi with all its contents inside. That content right now just consists of a simple replacement icon, logo and replacing the game title with "Haxchi", its example config.txt will boot homebrew launcher by default and a fw.img on your sd card when holding A. The content of this haxchi folder can be changed to your liking - if you want to you can also add in an alternative bootSound.btsnd to replace the original which I did not do in this example haxchi folder.
After setting up the content to your liking all you have to do is run the haxchi .elf in homebrew launcher, select the game you want to install it on and that is it!
Please note, this will ONLY WORK WITH DS VC GAMES ON NAND, if you have a ds vc game on USB you want to use then please move it to your NAND first and ideally detach your usb device before using this installer .elf.
Let me know if everything works fine since there is only so much I can test myself.
Thanks. Works perfectly on PAL (EU) Wii U with yoshi touch

Could the Haxchi installer be used to like inject rom.zip images to other Virtual Console titles?
I have DK64 and I want to give Resident Evil 2 a try, I would think I only need to replace the following files:
  • rom.zip with the new ROM.
  • INI file for the new ROM's settings.
  • meta folder.
Of course, I would first backup the original files in case something goes wrong, but I'd like to know if someone has already tried that yet. :P

Off topic:

Has this not been tested in loadiine? If you let me know the base region/rom region/version combo I can try it tonight/tomorrow: I have the whole day off :)

You were right, my SD is dying. Thank you for the advice.

With loadiine?
I mean yeah you can run N64 injections in there, but I want to see if I can manage to inject the new ROM with the DK64 VC I bought some time ago.
I simply want to know if I can switch around the ROM I have in the already bought VC so I can toggle between ROMs whenever I want to directly from the Home menu instead of loadiine.

As for the info, I believe you can find it here:
https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/WiiU_VC_N64_inject_compatibility_list#B

It has to be Japanese RE2 (aka Biohazard 2) so that it works properly.

Yeah I think that's the whole premise of Contenthax that can swap the zip/rom and the system allows it without verification.

But I'm saying if it doesn't work in loadiine it won't work any other way.

It would be handier if @FIX94 could take a look at the "multi menu" hidden within the VC emulation to fashion a game selector.

Fix94's tools could definitely be forked to do this for any VC and any rom with ini and tga.

This installer is so fast, customisable and plain awesome!
