I feel pretty stupid for getting online. I even thought to myself that it wasn't a good idea, but when I heard that people were getting physical cartridges early, review copies were out, etc., I figured it was alright and got on around November 15. Now I've got both ban codes. :(

You're not the only one, the bright side is that Pokemon is the only game I played online, but still... havin 2 bans for one freaking game. The worse part is that there were plenty of people saying it was safe to go online before the release date.

Just out of curiosity.. does injecting a new/different LocalFriendCode actually change your friend code or list for the console?

I have no friends on my list either way.. and never paid much attention to it before.
No FC change, unbanned. We still don't know why

Are you guys sure that Nintendo is even looking at activity logs? If that's the case wouldn't people be banned for using homebrew?

Nintendo support won't unban me even when I bought the game early and playes online. no illegal shit. They keep saying that I modified the game code to go online. Also that the retail cart is incapable of going online before the date unless it was modified. I did no such thing. Wtf!

Count me in
I waited until the 17 or so when people were already getting their games and it was just a matter of connecting 5 minutes just to update the pokeplaza
Oh well i took my chances so i have no right to complain. I got both NNID banned (eshop/miiverse) and 002-0102 so i'm still clinging to the slim chance that the online ban is just temporary like those handed in the past. I couldn't care less about the other ban.

I'll just wait until december and if i'm still banned i'll try some of the solutions posted so far or hopefully something else might have come out by then.

Well yes. it was a copy that I bought. I shouldn't be punished because the store sold it early and I decided to play the game.

Like with any game, if you get it before the official release there's a chance that you'll get banned when using the online services.

That's the most stupidest reason for a company to punish the consumer. they bought the game because it was being sold. this wasn't a copy that was stolen.

Sorry my friend. There are statements floating around that if this was your first offense that this may be a temporary fifteen* day ban.

Man, I am getting paranoid about what Nintendo actually get to "see" on my system with all these unconfirmed ban reports floating around. I obviously have CFW and plenty of titles that ought not to be on there for one reason or another. I also happen to spend a lot of money in the eShop in spite of all the magical tools available to CFW users! I'd hate to get a ban on either of my systems which are special edition N3DS XL models. Having resale value (if I wanted) is always nice and I wouldn't really consider selling a banned console that can't do all of the things it's supposed to do.

I haven't been online with either the Lurantis of the freeShop versions of Moon, and when the 23rd hits I'll have my physical carts. Perhaps all is okay.
