how should she confirm if its a permaban or not Aurora is not a wizard.
Only Nintendo of Japan knows if they want to lift the ban or not.

I tihnk the user meant if she has a bypass method, not that she can magically unban us.

changing deviceID through Luma would use modification of ctcert, which would have to be stolen from other consoles.
No one is gonna try this.

So, seems like the easiest thing to do instead of calling Nintendo or freaking out is to just buy a new mobo for like $50 and replace it. Cheaper than a brand new system and doesn't involve taking anything from or needing a second console.

Unless there is a local shop that willing to do all of those things for you, buying a new console is probably cheaper & less time consuming. Of course, if you have experience in modifying 3DS hardware then it may be doable.
Nintendo are selling 3DS for 100$ on black Friday... so...

I believe those consoles are confirmed 11.0 which aren't (without hardmod or another cfw 3ds) downgradeable/hackable.

I need to wait for 23rd November and I will be safe right?

If you didn't go online via Festival Plaza you should be fine.

The only solution we have is for restoring online play and that requires two 3DSes.
I could restore online play right now, but I'm trying to wait for Nintendo's next move...

Save the file from the link and rename it appropriately (title id is in the URL, it's the 0004[...]).
FBI->titles->select the Sun/Moon you installed with the QR Code->Import seed.

Same boat. I have a spare 2DS that never gets used, and I could swap them but I'm in no rush to get online right now. If it's permanent, then I'll switch and figure out what to do with the 2DS. Gift it to a nephew or someone who doesn't need online.

that's because it connects to game freak's servers, not nintendo's I assume
