Just wanted to start up this thread in order to hopefully get more input from people more knowledgeable on the inner-workings of the Wii U. When the Wii U checks if a ticket is valid to your console or not, what all does it check? Does it only check the console ID, or does it also check other info, like something relating to your NNID? Because I was thinking, what if we were to modify an illegitimate ticket to include our console ID. Would the Wii U then allow us to start up homebrew or other illegitimate content without signature patches? I also had another theory. Since the Wii U just accepts disc tickets on any console, would it be possible to create our own tickets in the disc-format? Maybe then the WIi U would just start up the homebrew or things? That's all I've come up with now. Sorry if I'm wrong about literally everything, I just wanted to get some input on whether or not I may be on to something.

Disregard everything.

If you open a ticket in a hex editor you will see some certificates there. Editing any byte on the file will break the cert signature.
