But here is a video for proof:
Wrong, they are exactly the same game. This is xenoblade chronicle Wii U VIrtual console release, not the Vwii version. This is why it's working
Yes they are the same game but the VC version can be installed natively on the Wii U and run through the Virtual console using the gamepad controls. Watch the video and you'll see that when you exit the game it goes back to the Wii U menu and not the vwii which would explains why it works in rednandWrong, they are exactly the same game.

Once again I say, that's not how it works. The eShop titles boot into vWii. Having read the Cafe SDK manuals, I know that a certain part of the system is always reserved for the home menu and it's apps when on the Wii U side. Notice anything about what it shows when he opens the home menu during Xenoverse? That's right, it's not the Wii U home menu, it's the original Wii home menu. That's because the console is not running in Cafe anymore, the Wii U has switched to vWii mode.To put it simply, the Xenoblade which was played on the video was the eShop version (Wii game purchased from the Wii U Store and not from the Wii Store), that's why the game runs on the Rednand without any problem. The eShop version can also be played and controlled by the gamepad without the need of wii mote.
I'm not insulting anyone, I will admit to being condescending though, and I have every right to be. Why are you completely ignoring my explanation? There is no Wii U version. The title available on the eShop is nothing more than an application that reboots the console into vWii and automatically loads the game, as well as patching in support for operating the game with the gamepad. No need to be insulting or make condescending remark dude, like animex2k9 pointed out this is the Wii U version bought on the Wii U store which is why I believe it works in this case.
Look man, I don't really feel like playing a flame throwing match with you, your explaination make sense and hopefully the op got his answer. Btw I wasn't ignoring you since I was writing the previous post whilst you already posted your answer.I'm not insulting anyone, I will admit to being condescending though, and I have every right to be. There is no reason why this should work, it is still booting into vWii. You know, THE THING THAT DOESN'T WORK IN REDNAND!
