Might be a priceholder for now. Nintendo could make two editions, 1x Basic and 1x Premium to cater to both audiences.

I'm calling BS on this one...
The link is now dead and returns you to the Toys'R'us homepage, but while it worked it showed the Switch product page with a CAD $330 price tag.
The price is low enough to not be just a placeholder, the product is no longer available on their site, so it's possible an employee suffering from premature clickage published the product by mistake and then they removed it when it got out.
It's also possible an employee posted it to troll people.

From what I can tell, if they will sell the Switch here in Morocco when it comes out in March, my opinion is that the approximate price could be 2,500 MAD. Apparently, I think US dollars are around 10 times more in Moroccan dirhams; e.g. $10 = 100 MAD (rounded).

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
