The future of wii u hacking is when a proper rednand is released (AKA salts tools)
The current rednand is just a mess. You need illegal dev apps to install things and region free. It requires 64 GB sd card which could be used for better things. You can't edit files on hdd so no reading/writing on it.
It is just a giant mess.

MK8 is guaranteed to work since it uses mvplayer.rpl.
