PrBoom is working great. In fact, it's working too well - it runs too fast!

There's a 60fps framerate option in it. This is by design. You can also set it to 35 fps (its native framerate) or 40/50.

The original game ran rather crappily at 35Hz, you couldn't really do 60fps v-synced graphics on DOS, Prboom libretro is the only point in time a Doom port ever released with true 60fps. It's an acquired taste but I think after a while it grows on you.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I did know about the lower native framerate, however.

Is the option to limit the framerate supposed to be in the core options? I like the idea of 60fps in theory, but the fact that it speeds up the game physics and music means an option would be nice!

No, it's something you select from the ingame Setup menu.

So how do these cores work? I know that you need the Homebrew Launcher on loadiine.ovh but I don't know how to get the roms working. As a example, do I need to set a path to the rom folder on the SD card?

The roms can be anywhere on the SD card. No USB at the moment due to needing the IOSU exploit.

I see.
You can for example place roms and create folders for each system, right?
I used Retroarch on 3DS before, so you should be able to select the roms on a filebrowser.

Okay, so I tested some stuff, and it runs pretty flawless except for Sonic 3 and Knuckles which had somewhat delayed audio but the game was still in 60FPS and very playable.
I coudn't get Street Fighter 3rd Strike to work, because when I selected the roms, Retroarch loaded back to the menu. Maybe it's the roms fault, but so far these are the only issues I encountered. Everything else runs without any issues and at a steady 60FPS. I can't thank you enough for this Retroarch team. You made me so hyped for this.
