Aksys Games is bringing two of its critically-acclaimed visual novels, 999 and Virtue's Last Reward, to the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita in a compilation pack sometime next year. Titled "The Nonary Games", it will include a version of 9 hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (Originally on the Nintendo DS) that is built from the "ground up" for the new systems, and will feature HD artwork and both English and Japanese voice acting.

UPDATE: The teased PC port from a few months ago has been confirmed as well, meaning each entry in the series will be available on Steam now. It also gives a general release date of "Spring 2017".

What’s that? You’ve already managed to escape the clutches of death and played both games through to completion? Fear not! 999 has been rebuilt from the ground up and now features HD graphics, as well as English and Japanese voice acting. Prepare to experience 999 as it was intended, and lose yourself in unparalleled immersion.

don't get why this wasn't done first before the release of ztd. very strange release order imo but I guess they needed to have ztd out there selling for financial purposes perhaps.

I'm so glad that Spike Chunsoft have started bringing everything to PC, these two are both fantastic games and this way more people will get a chance to play them!

The Sudoku puzzle doesn't need to be two screens, but it will be an unfortunate loss though. As for touch elements, it's going to utilize the mouse like what ZTD did.

I hope the the first game will be available separately, remember VLR was a Plus game so many people already have it.

I played the first one of these and I fucking hated it. Completely randomly punishes you for making arbitrary decisions, ended up getting murderered with no indication of what I'd done wrong after hours of play. Total bullshit.

That's the point. YOu are supposed to do ALL the endings.

This is awesome. I'm really hoping the PS version will be cross-compatible as I'd love to play this on a Vita but can't afford it now. My PS4 on the other hand is a different story.

I bet they didn't even tug on the fact that both unlockable trailers show the correct paths to take.
