Hey, i'm new at this forum and i actually don't know if i'm posting this at the right topic, so if not i'm sorry..

I've got a Nintendo 2DS with pre installed Pokemon Omega Ruby, i once tried to use PKHeX and eded up with a corrupted save data. So is there a possibility to use PKHeX on my version of Omega Ruby or did i just do something wrong?
Btw excuse me if my english isn't the best..

Does your 2DS have CFW on it for start? A9LH/menuHax + emuNAND

If yes, go into the homebrew channel and use an app called JKSM - a save manager and extract the save file and load it into PKHeX

What did you use to extract the save on homebrew? which app?

If you're on 11.2 with no CFW then you have to use a work around.

I don't know anymore it's been a while since the last time i tried that.
But my basic question is if it's possible to use pkhex on a preinstalled or digital Omega Ruby version or if i have to do something differntly compared to the disk version.

Same thing for digital and cartridge, there's no difference. You have to export the save the same way, but the answer to your question is yes.

If you're just using regular homebrew, I recommend using SVDT to export/import your save files, and deleting the secure value when importing your modified save file. There's no difference between pre-installed and purchased digital (or between digital and cartridges, really), I think that the secure value is most likely the cause of your 'corrupted save data' error message.

Yeah and JKSM deletes the secure data automatically for convenience. You'll never end up with a corrupted save from a dump with JKSV unless you corrupt it in the editing.
