So I made a post the other day about using the brazilian exploit to install a few games. All went fine with Minecraft and Mario Party 10. However today I tried installing Mario Kart 8. It installed ~2gb of the game before (I believe, because I wasn't watching the screen) error'ing out (therefore, I don't know what error it gave). I went into Data Management and my Wii U told me there is unneeded data, which I assume is the partial install of MK8. It asked if I wanted to Delete or Leave it for now, so I chose Delete, and now it's been showing "Deleting... Do not turn off the power" for a long time now. The blue circle is spinning around, but it's been on here forever, so I don't know if something is going wrong or if it really is being slow. What should I do?

Let it do it over night. If you wake up and it is still deleting then your screwed it seems.

I was thinking of doing that. It's only 9:16pm here and I'll be up for a few more hours, but if it's not done in the morning then I'll take the risk of pulling the plug. Surely it'll just leave the data there and not break the console, right? D:

This is one of the risks with this method. If you try to install incomplete or corrupt game downloads you can end up having to reformat and start from scratch.

I don't mind if I have to reformat anything, as long as this isn't going to brick my Wii U. I don't mind losing a few saves if it comes to that, since a lot of them are on Loadiine anyway, so I can backup the SD card

Check your game size on PC, maybe it's not the size as the Full game

(for example: "your game name" size: 7.50, "other Full game name" size: 7.90GB)

Mario Kart 8 Full size is: 4.3GB

if you have a problem, message me and i will give you the link to Mario Kart 8 Full Game, but tell me the region so i can know what the game region do you want

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

or check the NAND size, you must have at least 5.5GB on your NAND to install it

It was only 4.01GB, which is identical to the Loadiine version I used to use until I tried the new method, since the thread on that iso site said it was confirmed working with no issues, but if it's supposed to be 4.3GB then clearly there's something wrong with my download..

You won't lose anything other than the time spent reinstalling.

Theoretically, you could also try downloading a demo or something from eshop and see if that kickstarts the ability to delete corrupted data.

This is why i recommend only using the ticket from that iso site and downloading the game from NUS.

I'm going to leave it going overnight, see what happens. If it's still doing it, there's a problem I guess. ;~;

Alright, I'm hoping this will merge my posts so people see this. I cut the power to it and it booted up again just fine, but I could do with getting my 3GB of space back from the installed data, preferably without formatting since it's installed on NAND. Noob question, how do I do it, since I can't delete the data in system settings
