Hi,

i want to use cheats ingame in offline Mode, online is not important, but if that work too it would be a benefit :)

Currently i have a N3DS XL with a9lh and Luna running on the updated sysnand 11.2
and a 9.2 redNAND (Could also be a emuNAND, don't know for sure. Is there a way for figure this out? If the ingame cheat menu would work without a emuNAND/redNAND so i can delete it and get more free space on my card :)

My question is now: If i want to use Cheats ingame with selecting them ingame (not before starting the game), which method will be easier to install/more stable, Gateway or NTR?
Or is there another possibility for using and selecting cheats in an ingame menu?

The game i would mainly use cheats are Pokemon OR.

Thanks in advice for help :)

They can both do the same thing and neither is easier to install IMO, but NTR is free so use that if you haven't already bought a Gateway

Gateway comes with a lot of extra baggage. A lot of shady stuff and poorly coded installers.
NTR works better - it supports cheats, patches (such as for romhacks - or ciahacks I guess :P), debugging memory (and poking values to addresses directly) and on N3DS it also supports video streaming.

Buying a Gateway isn't really a good idea. They're pricey, too.

Gateway is a CFW, not NTR, NTR is an app that can be used on Gateway/any free cfw

Gateway is a better way to cheat (do not freeze for random code in a plugin) or fast rom hack (build .3ds and put it in your sd card, that all.)
On luma it's 3ds -> cia -> install

Since you already have a hacked 3DS and with A9LH, don't buy a Gateway. It's not needed. You can already use the hacks using NTR CFW.
Tbh, I don't know which one, since none of them work for me since updating emuNAND to 11.2, but there will be one that's compatible for sure.

The latest builds of BootNTR work.
The other part that you keep on the SD Card doesn't need updating for new firmware versions.

exactly, NTR is discontinued and with a lot of bug, atm I use Gateway for the cheat because it's much better than NTR.

I am hoping a better solution for cheating too, since Gateway doesn't have a complete cheat manager, and NTR unstable, it's a bit boring :P

You can't really compare NTR and gateshark. One is for cheating and one was for plugins but plugin makers used it for cheats. NTR can be used for streaming on n3ds, input redirection to control the 3ds with any controller or your pc, romhacking (like ctgp 7), screenshots, messing with led and others.

Gateshark is just for cheating. It has better things for cheating because that was what it was made for. NTR CFW wasn't made for cheats but makers of plugins used it for cheats.

If cheats is what you care about and if you haven't already bought a gateway which at this point I do not recommend it's just not worth it...GO WITH NTR it's free and fairly simple to install

Are you sure it has 11.2 support even though the page says that?

I just installed it, run it and I get:
0x00200000 in Homemenu e0811101
size == 0
bnBootNTR failed
Press Home Button to return to the menu.
It does. I'm using it on my 11.2 3ds right now to play the puyo puyo tetris translation.
