Tutorial  Updated

Multiple SD with different games on A9LH WITHOUT emuNAND.

This is a mini-tutorial to have multipe SD cards with different games on each one without need for emuNAND. Notice that this only works on a single 3DS, it won't work between different consoles.

*IF YOU HAVE FBI ALREADY INSTALLED (either H&S inject or Standalone), GO DIRECTLY TO SECTION I - STEP 7*

Section I- Creating the Template.

1.- On the new and clean SD (Let's call this SD1), copy these files on the root of the SD. It comes with recent LumaCFW.

2.- Insert the SD1 on 3DS and boot Hourglass9 (by holding START when turning on the console). On Hourglass9, select these options:

Sysnand backup/restore -> Health&Safety Dump and dump your current H&S app.

then go back (press B) and select Health&Safety Inject and inject the FBI that correspond to your console and region.

3.- Press START+Left to turn of the console.

4.- Open LumaCFW config menu (by holding SELECT when turning on the console) and configure Luma with the options you normally have. Then press START to save and reboot. Now the system will create the /Nintendo 3DS/ folder. Open H&S app, which is now FBI.

5.- On FBI, install FBI.cia located on the root of the SD1 and exit the app.

6.- Reboot the console and open Hourglass9 again, and select these options:

Sysnand Backup/Restore -> Health&Safety Inject and inject the H&S dump you made on step 2. Once finished, press START to reboot.

7.- Now on HomeMenu, erase ALL games/apps of your console (excluding .cia installers as FBI or CIAngel), otherwise they're going to be dragged to the other SDs! Only maintain the apps you wish to drag to the other SDs.

Section II.- Copy&Paste.

1.- Once FBI is ready, make sure you don't have any other app installed otherwise they're going to be dragged to the other SDs! Since you're using a new SD (SD1), having games already installed is very unlikely.

2.- Insert your SD1 on the PC and copy all the content of the SD1 to a folder called /Template/ on your computer. The folder can have any name, but for this tutorial is going to be called /Template/.

3.- For each new SD you're going to use for 3DS, copy the content of the folder /Template/ to the root of the new SD, along with the games you're going to use.

4.- Insert the new on your 3DS and install all the games you wish to install on that specific SD.

DONE! Now you can use multiple SDs with different games without need of emuNAND. You can swap the SD when the console is on, but is better to insert that SD and boot the console.

I'm confused. What is the point of this guide? can't you just use a separate sd card and set it up like a new sd card? I just don't see the need for a tutorial.
(Not trying to be rude).

I'm bored, + most people out there tells to use an emuNAND for this purpose.

But... Wouldn't you have the unwrapping bug once you put the old sd card back in? They would have the same NAND Id inside Nintendo 3DS/32char/32char...

Also you'd have tickets for games that are currently not installed.

My small o3ds has an 8gb msd+4gbmsd and when i had luma+menuhax i just swapped them before boot. No prob there since they both ran in emunand and separate from each other. But i made the idiotic mistake not to create the second msd emunand with a different ID. Now i don't use it (even with emunand) because i fear the unwrapping bug or something else goes wrong since that 2 msd emunand would have the same NANDiD as my Sysnand (that was 1msd emunand before plailects guide)

I made the test with different games installed on different SDs and everything works fine, and i haven't experienced the unwrapping thing. However, i haven't tested the same game on multiple SD, it shouldn't be a problem as i recall.
