What if the exact location of the bytes for the console ID are found and we swap it for our own console ID?
Would this kill the hash check?
yes, it will kill the hash.
Fix94 gave the position on the other thread, I can search it (or he will maybe post it again here :p)

I'll edit this post when I find it.
edit:

4 bytes at 0x1D8

naah, it's not me.
I didn't even build the fw.bin (blocked at armips step), or tried any CFW booter.
I also don't share tickets.

you can get and share the Disc ticket, but the eShop tickets are linked to the console.
until there's a CFW patch with signature check removed, users won't be able to use them.
(unless I'm wrong?)
Sorry, wrong mod, so @FIX94 did it

So when I dumped my tickets, it dumped 2 folders, 02 and 03, both of which have title.tik files. Which ticket do I use to install the games to my HDD?

There some questions i dont get very well.

1- This procedure can be used whatever if is a disc dump or a digital dump´without dangerous of brick?
2- If i had downloaded a game but i dont know if that was a disc or digital, i have any way to know it? Or doesn matter until the region is ok?
3- Since the exploits are working with the last firmeware, i dont need to worry about block any dns and can simply do the entire process with my wiiU conected, right?
4- After the game install i can disable my wiiu wifi configuration and play the games any time i want without need to connect even if i turn off my console?

Well, and i never understand very well what is the silent update thing. Looks like a scary behavior of wiiU evil searching for a open Wifi when you turn him on and updating itself for the skynet. But is not like it, right? The system cant update without a configurated wifi, or is really this bad and someday wiiU can dominate the world?
I´m a offline gamer, so i dont want to install it and play without worry about a update or have wifi to can play.

So if I'm reading this right, this means we can dump the title.tik from our disc games, modify it, and use the modified title.tik to install and run that same game from a USB HDD?

Not sure I understand all your question, but I'll try to answer them.

1- You can dump tickets from your console. Being disc or eshop, it will be there.
Danger of brick ? YES ! this tool is still in heavy development, bad use of fw.bin can brick !
Attention, Dumped ticket from an eShop game will have the ConsoleID inside and will work only on that console. sharing it will not be useful.

2- connect to eshop, see if it's marked as "re-download" or "buy".
if it lets you re-download the game, it was eShop version.
If you have a disc of that game, it's obviously a disc.
if you don't have a disc .... did you usually sell your games? if not, if you don't have a disc, it was a eshop version.
I don't understand why you don't know which version you bought. disc or eshop, how many games did you buy?

3- as long as there's no new update released by nintendo, you don't need to worry about being on latest version without protection.
what you need to worry about, is that if nintendo release a new update, and you removed your protection, the console WILL update before you knew about it.
So, keep the protection!

4- hmm, yes. no need to be online to play. network is needed only to run homebrew launcher. there are completely offline methods (android).

5- there's no silent update.
It's an update that nintendo release while you don't have a protection and your console download without telling you.
it's not "silent", it's the way it works. it's just you without a protection.
the system will not update without wifi, or without a working internet connection.

So if I'm reading this right, this means we can dump the title.tik from our disc games, modify it, and use the modified title.tik to install and run that same game from a USB HDD?
Yes ! as long as your game exists on eShop because you need the encrypted .app files to install it with WUP installer.

It appears that even if we can get the ticket for games not dumped, there are still games that we can't download because there is no NUS link for them....Call of Duty and Paper Mario Color Splash being a couple of them.....

I am so lost, I don't even know how to configure or use Python commands to get the required generated FW image *sigh* I don't think this is for me, I'm not exactly adept enough to use Python. I just don't know, I'm afraid I'll end up bricking. So lost >.>

if you don't understand, then it's not for you.
don't try to do things which is out of reach. don't try too hard or bother users to explain it to you. (I noticed you started to act like that again, remember you were banned for that)

just let people do their work, if you don't understand something : wait ! don't try to do everything. things are sometime not for everybody.

like said by the Wiiubru team : this is NOT for the end user. this is useful ONLY for developers.
when it will be accessible to end users, you'll know it.

I know you're tired of people begging for help, but I would honestly disagree with this fundamentally. It's by trying things out of my reach that I've been able to do the things I can do now

it was specifically for the_randomizer.
He was already banned once because he harassed people and developers to release things and do things his way.
sometime homebrew are harder to understand for him and he still wants things his way.

I'm all for learning and trying to understand. but for that, he can read and ask.
but he doesn't always ask, he requests and gets angry.

*Sigh* Sorry, and you are right, it may or may not be best to attempt, I merely wanted to try installing my games to USB, instead of having to use USB. My apologies.

Edit: I'll reread the instructions on this thread and on the other one, to see if I'm going to do this.
