The guide video was using it so I thought it was a good idea.AS long as the English version would work then I"ll replace it with that.I got the hang of it and installed Pokemon Rutile Ruby which is working perfectly.Too bad I'm on the latest firmware 11.0.0.-33u and can't downgrade without a hardmod to test and learn about more homebrew things.

If i decrypt and extract a Pokémon ROM, edit the textures, and then rebuild it, can I play it with Sky3ds+?

Tried to mod Fire Emblem Fates: Special Edition but it's not working. I decrypted and extracted the files, overwrote the files from the SSM mod, rebuilt it (Tried HANS but that threw an error when I renamed the CustomRomFS.bin to [titleid] .romfs) into a .cia, and then installed. The error was the same each time

AN EXCEPTION OCCURRED

PROCESSOR: ARM11 (Core 1)
EXCEPTION TYPE: prefetch abort (svcBreak)
CURRENT PROCESS: loader

and lots of numbers

pls halp

Your issue might be japanese file names. Last I checked, this tool replaces all japanese characters in file names with #'s, which deletes many files and numerous other files won't function properly with the wrong file name. Use the packhack to get the romfs, then use romfsextractor to get the files out of the romfs. Make your edits, then repack the romfs using romfsbuilder and repack the cia with the packhack.

It's already fixed from awhile (at least it should be).
The japanese name issue was due to ctrtool, and I switched to 3dstool from awhile, as said.

Is there any way I can use this for my problem?
I lost my Alpha Sapphire, but I have the backup files on my computer from powersave. Every time I try and put the old files on the new cartridge, I get data corrupted. Is there any way I can bypass this using this stuff? Please help!

Edit: I tried to decrypt it and extract the save file myself, but it seems way over my head. Is there any way somebody else could do all the file coding stuff from their computer and just send me the files? If anybody can do this for me I'm willing to offer money in exchange for the labor (if thats allowed here, im not sure sorry if its not!)
Its just that game file has every pokemon i've ever had since I was like, 9 years old. Needless to say this file is extremely important to me and I'm willing to go to any length to get it back.

decrypt the ps backup save you will get a main file which can be read by pkhex; more important, it's importable.
only a few steps, pretty easy... done it before.
