Would save a hell of a lot of download space if we had a patcher ,also isn't it just the same risk as downloading the actual patched version as the patcher did patch it ?

I think you don't need to access the usb drive on your computer because games are stored on the sd card. They are installed from it to the usb drive already formatted by Wii U.
