The title. I really like where the story is headed for Dragon Quest however I feel like I'm rushing through them to unlock islands for free play mode and I'm also not completing the challenges the first time around and I'm not going to repeat the chapters as they take a long time.

I would like Chapters and Challenges values. I wouldn't know where to start looking for them so if someone's done it already. Please help.

Hey if I inbox you my save can you hex it for me please? I am so confused and all i want is 255 Items in my inventory that im holding onto.
You can only hold 99 of each in each slot and after each chapter it everything is delete and you start all over. You absolutely don't need it but you if you want it someone has done that over in the hebkaku save edit thread.

You can use either it once per Island, or use Slot 1-12 to change whatever you hold to 99 pieces of it.

1. Place any item into the slot you are searching for with at least 10 pieces (more is better)
2. Press SELECT+RIGHT to open goHANmem 1.01 beta 1
3. Press O to detect memory ranges
4. Switch with select the memory range to 84D00000 - 8560FFFF (006/011)
5. Press square to Target Value (Dec) and use up/down to enter the value
6. Press square to Byte and set it to 1 (we need a single byte)
7. Press square to 1st Search and press start
8. Switch into game after search was completed
9. Change the value in the slot (decrase it by 1)
10. Press triangle to Target Value (Dec) and use up/down to enter the new value
11. Press square to Search again and press start .
Repeat step 8 to 11 until you have your offset!

Once found, do the following:

1. Press square to Modify to Num. (Dec)
2. Use up/down to change the value to whatever you want (up to 99)
3. Make sure its 1 Byte, if not, press square and change it to 1
4. Press square to Modify------START and press start > value got changed ingame
5. When it was a success, Press square to Save Code and press start > saved

Minor bug in goHANmem, on the right side it might not show the correct offset until restart.
You can make a proper description later > edit the generated .txt.

(This works the same for every game, maybe another range
and different byte, but basicly this is how to use goHANmem!)

PS:
Slots are next to each other, +/-4 to the next slot. Ex. AA > AE > B2 and so on...
You can check this up in Memory view, just use the first slot as start.

To use it later, do this like explained above:
1. Put the item into the slot
2. Press SELECT+RIGHT
3. Press L/R to switch to code
4. Press UP/DOWN to the slot
5. Press START to manipulate
