Nah, it's in English here
Ah, I wasn't sure what language that would be in.

Anyways, this thread has really derailed from its original purpose. If anyone wants to try and decrypt the Su/Mo pre-purchase files when the time comes, go ahead and feel free to leave any progress reports here.

Ah, yeah probably not xD. Also I think it may only apply after you purchase the item at the errored price and the company tries to charge the actual full price.

I was just making a joke that if the law were true, I would take advantage of the situation and get a free Dutch copy of Sun. I just said it like that because I wasn't sure at the time whether or not it was Dutch or something else.
Fortunately for you, if that happened to be true, you wouldn't get it in Dutch :P That has never been, as far as I know, one of the available langagues, and won't be for Sun/Moon either. You'd get a language selection screen to pick from English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, and you'd be happily playing a free copy of Sun in full English :P

It never was indeed, I've got an idea actually, what if we download it, and try to force crack it, by getting a nutcracker ;) :P. Nah just kidding, what if we download it, and crack it the hard way? (Not playing it, but just dumping).

I don't know if this is significant in any way, but I pre-purchased DQ7 and then installed the .cia when it leaked. However, even though I had the full .cia installed, the home menu still wouldn't let me access it and kept telling me that the game would unlock at whatever time.

But when I went through FBI to launch the game I was able to play it just fine. Perhaps it might be possible to launch the pre-purchase game through FBI to circumvent the home menu?

Where can I download it as prepurchase, also can you find out whether a prepurchase is decryptable?

people are all hyping sun and moon.. and i'm here thinking that they should've stopped releasing info 2 months ago

That could be a possibility, however, I don't think that a whole group of people would have tried to do this with DQ7 (as I have been told) and none of them try just loading it with FBI

Yeah, people get hyped in their own way, some by wanting to know everything about it before going into it and others wanting to go in blind. To each their own, i guess.

People I got an idea, try making a CIA file, and decrypt it with decrypt9 (just the CIA)

Aaah OK, not available here :(, it's disabled in NL iirc...
The DQ7 pre purchase is not available anymore because the full game is out already and the Su/Mo pre purchase is not available yet to anyone; I think I'm clearing up any confusion.

I don't think that is what we are looking to do. When the pre purchase version is available for download, they either leave out a part of the game to be patched in on the release day or they add a portion of code to make it so that it cannot be opened from the home menu, or maybe both. I don't think that using Decrypt9 will do for us what we want it to.

As for the "Open it using FBI" thing, that could work, however there is no way to tell at the current time. If there are any brave souls who would valiantly sacrifice their wallets to buy the disney game that is available for pre purchase and see if they can open it with FBI, then by all means please try, maybe it could tell us what could happen with Su/Mo when we try with that. ^_^

I'm trying to download it. See what happens, when I open it rawish.

Alright, so let me get this straight. There is NO WAY to actually play the game before the release date with the eshop download. Some files are only downloaded after the release, you can't make those missing files appear. The only we could get the game before release is if someone dump the cartridge.

exactly, when releasing a pre order game to download they either offer one of 2:
1.encripted data with a key that is released on release date (steam does this) before playing the game you require to extracted the data with that key

2.missing executable or core data.. you can explore and fidle with the files but if you want to actually play the game you will have to rebuild the missing parts...

both ways, it's a job that can take weeks months or years for something that will be released shortly after...

Steam actually do both, so do Nintendo.

If there was anyway to play pre-order before release, we would know, be sure of that.

I don't want to play, I want to try to open it (RAW).
