Is it really that difficult to use common sense, if I was gonna put my name in it I'd post it from my account, not as a guest, and I haven't been involved with SALT for a while and you can ask them too lmao
EDIT: That OTP is real tho, the X's aren't important cause they're console specific so you'd have to dump your own anyways

Most people lost their common sense after using the internet for the first time.

It's "One Time Programable" guys. It's a console-unique key that sets itself randomly either the first time the console is booted up or when its coming off of the production line

Edit: Came in a little late, sorry
It would be really neat if it did write the console specific keys on the first boot that the user does but I HIGHLY doubt N would leave it like that. They are most likely written while still in the factory. There are many reasons that i can come up with as to why it is most likely done in the factory but i am not going to list them out because they are the obvious reasons.

I miss Hykem....

So why did you put your name in it and post from a guest account?

And the console specific keys are written on first boot. It's just that the board is booted at the factory prior to user purchase.
Part of the hardware makes up the specific part of the key.
Much like the wii though there is a second key that is accepted on all wii u consoles as well.
But in all honesty hacking a wii u is the equivalent to hacking a 3DO console. #NOBODYCARES lol

I care.

I care too. The 3DO was actually rather good despite its failure.

Some keys (such as the NAND key, correct me if i'm wrong) are factory written !
And some others are boot written

I would like to see some sort of proof of this otherwise it is just speculation. They can directly write to the otp without the silicon being on a pcb yet. They can also write to the otp and nand chips via a jtag port or something of the sort. To say that the keys are written on first boot would be saying that the software to burn the keys is run on the wii u which could become problematic if for some reason something goes wrong and the software to do so gets leaked out, or if there was a failure of somesort and a wii u gets shipped not being fully functional.

I have other reasons of why i doubt that the console is booted to write the keys, mostly just leading to N being too scared of an accidental leak or one going out without the keys being written.

Meh, i'm telling you some stuff, it isn't my problem if people think this is speculaion ;)

I don't really have proof, but I do recall somebody early in the scene explaining that the console-specific keys are written when power is first delivered to the system by selectively blowing a set of dummy fuses to generate a hard-coded key
