Hacking Updating CFW SysNAND

I region changed my N3DS from JPN to USA following plailect guide. It tells me to now update your region changed CFW SysNAND to the latest version. Is that through system settings or through the Plailect guide again?

Edit: also all my apps and games are gone from my home screen. do i have to reinstall those? no big deal if i do. i think they should still be on SD card no?

When region-changing, you should have all the US titles now and the all the JAP titles should be gone.

Games and such will be gone as well since you have to completely format the whole system in order to region-change.

How do I get FBI back onto my device?

Edit: Do I have to re inject FBI through the Health&Safety Inject option in Hourglass9?

when i try and run it through BrowserHax to then install the cia it says it needs kernal access to run

i was up to date, then i did a region change from JPN to USA and it deleted everything and beck to 9.2 so i did a system update - but now i just need to get FBI back on to my device but cant seem to - Browser hax states it needs kernal access to run - am i supposed to re inject it into Health&SAfety?

If you have A9LH, you can run Decrypt9 as a Luma payload and then extract the hs.app to inject the FBI.

Some details you haven't mentioned is what CFW are you using and what entrypoint (MSET; MenuHax; A9LH...)

I used the plailect guide a couple months back, so A9LH, Luma etc.. everything was up to date until i did this region change today. So you are saying run decrypt9 and extract hs.app and then follow to inject FBI to Health&Safety again in the guide?
